Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire

Yep it's bright if we bring in the right manager...

We need a manager that can help bridge the gap between our talented U-21 team and our first team squad..

I just hope the board makes the right call..(whether it's José, Moyes or someone else)...and then gives the manager at least 2 seasons to settle in at the club.

Well, soon Rafa leaves & we all will see who comes next.

I also believe, Chelsea needs better management too. I do not agree with some of those loans.

Just one thing I´d like to know. Is it true someone airbrushed Di M picture ?

No wonder Chelsea is one of the most hated clubs around. it´s fucking sick.

So you think Roman should go then?

No. Its melodramatic calling him the Devil hes known as that in post -Soviet Union if anywhere.

Bates treated the fans even shabbier and its symptomatic of whats going on at most clubs. Doesnt mean fans should lie back and take it though

You said the author of that piece nailed it and you said the problems at this club run deep. Why wouldn't you be calling for his head?

He should be given a chance to build bridges - he cant see the problems if hes got a load of nodding well paid donkeys round him.

I hope and sincerely hope that the board/owner has learned their lesson from this season. Like:

  • Sacking a manager who has given u the holy grail and replacing with a manager who is out of job & clearly someone who is not the fan's favorite
  • Running behind someone like Pep who was suppose to be an expert in the tik-tak policies thinking that we can offer him money and power... clearly didnt work instead it was a slap on the face of Chelsea
  • Persisting with Torres when we had cheaper and better options available in the market
  • Understanding that success cannot be like instant noodles, it takes time when in transition

These are just a few which if strengthen by the board would set a blueprint for some real good future ...

Come on chaps. Calling for Roman head, are you kidding ?

If he were to go, Chelsea club is nowhere within 2-3 years. Just like before he came on.

we WERE a good club before he came in ..with a decent team ....suggest you read our history..but I suppose you werent a fan then

True. Qualifying for the CL is what made Abramovich buy the club (that and finding a safe haven)

He should be given a chance but they shouldn't? Some opposition fans might say that we're too cowardly to call out our owner because we realise how much we rely on his money. I'm sure that's not the case and I'm sure that you're not just calling for the board's heads because they're an easy target.

But let's look at who exactly we should sack and who we should get in.

The first team is a mess because of mistakes made by people in charge around 2008 in my opinion. Now that includes Mr 'Silver Bullet' himself, Peter Kenyon yet the author of that piece seems to think he's the right choice to bring back. Is he on the money in that regard?

If you look at the most contentious issues in the last few years, the purchasing of Torres, the sacking of AVB, the sacking of RDM, the hiring of Benitez, doesn't the buck ultimately stop with Roman? Blaming the people you think are nothing but yes men WHO WERE HIRED BY ROMAN seems to be a kneejerk reaction specifically designed to avoid upsetting our owner. Why not go the whole hog?

Let's just sack the yes men and hire another group of people who definitely won't be yes men. But how does Roman hire these people? Oh right, by consulting with another group of yes men because he sounds like a frightfully insecure person.

Or we can look at what we have at the top of the club and try and look at what they're doing with a sense of perspective. Have they made mistakes? Absolutely. Are there key areas where they've fucked up? Yes. Is the club on the whole moving in the right direction? I think we are. I think we're suffering from mistakes made half a decade ago and there's no quick-fixes for them.

No we can be mercenary as well-we all want a share of his money for the benefit of the club-but not the stupid fuckers below him-they are as annoying as internet trolls

Oh yea. It only took Chelsea to win PL some like....? I let you fill it here.

Chelsea for the first 50 years of their existence won precisely nothing. Finally, in 1955 the league championship was won. Then in 1970 FA Cup & dick for another 26 years. League cup in 1998 & FA Cup in 2000. Then Roman came on & you became a fan.
