PaulHopkins 1
Egypt are an excellent, efficient and technically gifted side. Well done to them.
PaulHopkins 1
You might be right, it's just that I really want to see him playing on Sunday. It's no real news, just an assumption by me. Hopefully close to reality Bugger I didn't realise this until now
James 5,318
Like Greece at Euro 2004, Egypt are organized thats how they won 4-1.
Fulham Broadway 17,312
Definitely a team to be reckoned with. Similar to Mexico in style. What was all that rubbish at half time, ? - seemed to be some kind of scuffle when Ivory Coast players surrounded a member of the Egypt bench, pointing fingers and remonstrating angrily, while Drogba also argued with Egypt players ? terry26 6
ummmmmm there is no possible way that they will be back for the scouser game as they have the 3rd place playoff to play 2morow nite i give more of a crap about what happens in that game than i do about the final - i love geri but REFUSE to support any team that a wanker Eto plays in and can't stand any of the Egyptian players either

Ollie 4,400
The matches started officially today with Angola the hosts, taking on Mali who look a good bet to win the competition, real dark horses imo with the likes of S.Keita, F.Kanoute, M.Diarra and co. Jesus, what an opening game. Angola were 4-0 up with 11 minutes to go, and 4-1 up with 2 mins plus stoppage time to go and it finished 4-4. 3 Matches tomorrow, including the DrogMalawi vs Algeria - 1:45pmIvory Coast vs Burkina Faso - 4pmGhana vs Togo - 6:30pmGreat start so far, bring it on! Rubber bullets 1,183
Astonishing that game was. A league 2 side facing a team like Aston Villa wouldn't give away a 4 goal lead in the space of under 11 minutes

Ollie 4,400
Malawi 3-0 AlgeriaIvory Coast 0-0 Burkina Faso2 weird results. Ivory Coast didn't seem to have any cutting edge, dominated the game but didnn't create too much. Bakari Kone missed the most chances. Nothing going to plan so far
