Henrique 9,133
The big question should be When will the media shut the fuck up!simple answear: when Torres start to score goals.
Tortilla9 390
The non-performers should be glad Torres is at Chelsea and taking one for the team. Torres according to the media is such a flop, waste of money, whatever negative comment there is, that he's taking the brunt of most of the negative press that Chelsea is getting.I wouldn't bet money on Torres scoring anytime soon. It's like watching a car accident in slow motion right now.
dodojojo 510
I wouldn't quite say he's not going to score anytime soon but obviously with each passing game the pressure mounts. What else is there to do but for the manager and club to continue to show confidence in him and offer support? For the long term, I think this is vital as shown by the way Ferguson stuck with Rooney and Guardiola continuing to play Villa. All strikers are sensitive to confidence issues and Nando seems particularly so.

I hope I'm proven wrong the sooner the better. 9 minutes won't get it done. I don't think Torres is confident about his football now and it's a combination of factors. Do you think the manager is showing confidence in him? Questioning publicly whether he should have started Torres against United. That makes it too easy to place the blame of the United losses on Torres' shoulders.
magic weeds 446
If you're going to make an attempt at a witty remark at least think of something logical. Because Torres has obviously hit the target since joining.:goodpost:

Fulham Broadway 17,319
Sky, cunts that they are, headline news shouting this morning ''Torres still Fails to score''.The fact that we're second escaped their radar.Anyway the flipside of Torres arrival is the Drogster finding his form again
TomCFC 357
Interesting stuff from Carlo in post-match interviews, saying Torres didn't have many chances because when he came on, we didn't play so well. He also said he'll play the next game. It's so frustrating seeing the media focus on Nando every game. It's not like he's not getting the chances or hitting the target. We're all behind him as fans, regardless of what the media want us to think.

steve5221 91
The stick he gets from the media is all down to the transfer fee. As soon as it is broken they will lay off him. I can see City breaking it this summer with a move for Bale if Spurs don't get top 4...

Tortilla9 390
I think most of us agree the 4-4-2 doesn't work for Chelsea or for Torres. The 4-3-3 works best for Chelsea is the consensus. In any games Torres has played, has he been the central player in the line? I'm just curious.
ElNinoSemper 18
I will just be happy if he gets a full ninety minutes on the pitch. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think that's happened yet. For a striker that's low in confidence, being substituted at every turn most certainly does not help. I understand that with other players such as Drogba playing their way back to form, Torres cannot be an automatic starter. The team needs the goals, the points and therefore the striker on form should rightly start each game. But do think Ancelotti hasn't done a good enough job with Torres. Starting him against Liverpool was a massive mistake. He started off on the wrong foot and has never really recovered. Giving him ten minutes against easy sides when we were coasting was also a colossal blunder. Instead, Torres will probably play against a rival top team when the spotlight will be at its harshest. I don't understand how and why Ancelotti thinks this is the way to manage Fernando.

chrismada9 1,948
The big question should be When will the media shut the fuck up!That's the reason why he hasn't scored yet. Because the media make such a big deal over his big money transfer that it puts pressure on him to score goals.

Started him straight away. Held him out against the weaker sides and started him against the top teams. Now he's playing him less and in the very formations that don't help him. I'd rather Torres not start against West Ham and certainly not with Anelka.
pHaRaOn 2,131
Torres a very nice guy, he does not like conflict (Moment with Rio-twat does not count). To play at Chelsea, he need to be more brazen at the field.
