I feel like bursting into tears right now. Sacking the manager who brought us our greatest achievement after his first bad run? FFS we were the league leaders less than a month ago. Robbie is a Chelsea legend and probably the only manager after Mou who I think had that special connection with the fans. I wish him all the best and hopefully he will find another team who treats him with more respect.

Words can not describe just how disappointed I am with this club. RDM a loyal servant, a fan of the club who has bought immediate success is hung out to dry because of a couple of defeats. No time to reshape the squad. No time to develope a footballing philosophy, or team spirit.

It's such a disgrace. Any manager is going to need two years as a min to really reshape the squad and the style. And (never said this before) he shall have to contend with only one striker upfront who just doesn't cut it. Combined with issues in central defence/midfield. Why is it put technical director (could be the wrong title) never gets hung out to dry? After all he is the one shaping our transfer policy.

Good luck RDM, you'll always be a legend at the Bridge, a true blue hero with more dignity in his left pinky than the rest of the staff combined.

Ohh Robbie.. At least having Chelsea on his CV will help him get a good club.

lol...he's got an FA Cup and Champions League to make sure he gets a good club...+ a 7-figure bank account to keep him warm until he does get a job ;)

He's in a better situation than Chelsea I would say.

I'm disappointed and saddened. In his short tenure, Bobby brought us untold adulation. He was and is a class act through and through. He did not deserve this. We better have a decent appointment lined up to take his place. This list would NOT include Benitez or Grant.

The powers that be have brought the name of our beloved club into further disrepute with this decision.

I do not know where to start... Ah yes : Fuck you the board, fuck you Roman, fuck you Gourlay, fuck you to whoever took responsability in the sacking of Roberto Di Matteo.

I'll be honest. This summer, I wanted us to hire Pep Guardiola, because not only I believe he's one of the finest manager out there, but also because I had doubts about whether Roberto could lead us to the world-class level or not. Even if he cleared some of my doubts till know, I was still keen to hire Pep next summer.

But seriously, sacking him while not even being mid-term of the season, really ? That was never an option for me. Yeah, if we where in a real mess, yeah it could have been the right solution. But we currently ain't in a mess. The start of the season has fooled us. At the moment, we cannot compete with both Manchester clubs, we cannot compete with the top european flight. We don't have a big enough squad, a good enough squad and we have to many young players. So, at some extent, we are where we belong to. Yes, the way it gone hurts, but still.

So now you tell me Roberto gets sacked because he cannot make us better than what we actually are ? Yes, I also blame him for our bad patch, because he hasn't done enough about the game tactics. But hey yo ! Because of who we didn't buy a striker in the summer ? Who wanted to persist with the biggest flop in football history ? Who decided to let go Malouda (he's still there, but not really, you know), Essien, Hipster Meireles, without replace them (I do not even talk in number, but in experience) ? Who decided to only buy young and unexperienced players ? Who's in fault because we cannot rotate proprely players (and because of this, our starting eleven is burn out) ? That the board, the board and the board.

Roberto, this season, had two good months with us, and one bad. He gets sacked for this ? Yes it is an ambaresment to be the first UCL winner to not going further than christmas in UCL. But I tell you Mr Abramovitch and co, who had the marvelous idea to have a big joke as our striker ? Roberto won the CL as our coach. He definitely should had have the full year.

And honestly, to hire a new manager to sack him in the summer (because yes, he will be sacked for Pep) is a good idea ? No, it's obviously not. The new manager will have to assess his team during the period the most difficult of the season (because we have a lot of games). We will look like beheaded chickens ; we will lose a lot of games. That's a really bad idea, it really wasn't the right time to sack him...

And believe me, sometimes I just hate Chelsea. And today I hate this club deep inside my heart. It's just a joke. Roberto didn't manage to stay more than 4 months here (as manager, not care-taker). I don't even know if it's worth it to hire Guardiola. It will cost us a lot of money, we will fire him quickly and we will ternish his reputation. It does not worth it.

I tell you, if our next manager is some suckers as this fat ugly spanish, I'll stop to watch Chelsea as long as he's at the club.

P.S. Sorry if I do not make any sense, but right now I am pretty fed up with this, hence I lose my french and english as well...

Thought I would let everyone have their say first but lets be honest are we that shocked? It was obvious with the time it took Roman and the board to give Robbie the job in the summer that he was not their main man, and I suspect they had someone else lined up but knew the backlash they would get if they didn't give him a chance. I believe the brilliant start to the season has forced Roman and the board to believe that the team was already where he wanted them to be but I always had my doubts. So the board think we are there and then some bad results come and we look poor again so they believe its time for a change in manager because that is what has worked for the club in the past. Sad thing is there is NO way we will complete this transition with short term commitments.

It's quite clear Guardiola is the man Roman wants but if he stands by his word and has a year out then the next manager will just be a temp so you can rule out Redknapp (thank fuck as i hate him with a passion). I can take it when the club are the most hated around that doesn't bother me but when we are a laughing stock that is when it hurts me.

I hope the fans sing Robbies name loud and proud on Sunday and as frustrating as it is supporting this football club at times i'll be glued to the TV again Sunday filling myself with hope like I do week in week out. Good luck to legend in true meaning of the word that Robbie is, I will always remember him as the manager who made our dreams come true.

P.S.: I have had enough of Torres, three great managers have been already sacked, because of that cunt. Sell him as soon as possible! What do you want to prove Roman, that he isn't failure? He is. Don't try to prove something you can't.
