2012/13 Expectations

I'm getting the feeling that Roberto is turning us into a cup-conquering side, in all honesty. I think we're going to struggle in the league. Why? For a very simple reason. Unless Oscar happens to be the Second Coming and Mata can maintain his form throughout the entire season, and Torres can bang in the ball at least 25 times, we're going to struggle for goals. Big time. We need more strikers. Last season we struggled and we had Drogba, Anelka, Kalou and Lukaku. Now we just have Torres and Sturridge.

I thought we were short when we had Torres Sturridge and Lukaku. Now Sturridge injured . Who will be on the Bench ..Bamford or Piazon.

do Spain have a midweek friendly????

omg Puerto Rica

Sturridge will be fine I think. Didn't look in any discomfort in the pitch, unless the toe 'injury' is something he picked up afterwards. Just a ploy to skip the Italy friendly would be my bet.

One thing we have to remember is that our entire CL campaign was predicated on being far up shit creek without so much as a water cracker to paddle with and yet somehow staying in the game. That's not a sustainable model; and for that reason we can't really expect too many things from a squad that technically hasn't been improved. We've shipped out the man who peaked at 32, the man who peaked whenever he played Messi and the man who never peaked at all and replaced them with a bunch of 20 year olds.

We are a team in transition, shall be for 1-2 years now, but I'm happy with that. Flooded the squad with youth, where as City have made the same mistakes Roman did when he first arrived. They have signed established players on huge wages and are now struggling to move them on. Once the team gels it's going to be one hell of a force.

Only requirement is a top four finish for me along with Super Cup and WCC anything else and I'd be delighted.

Please, that was because he didn't need to peak. Salomon is above such earthly descriptions like "good" or "outstanding" or "God's gift to football". No, he is much, much more than that.

Also this doesn't make for pretty reading:

Can't remember the last time we lost 4 in a row.
