Tricky 301
We would need a massive change in our playing style - we would need to be more like Spain - and Neymar would sit at the top of that ala Fabregas, but he wouldn't be dealing with long balls from defence - it would need to be quick movement, passing and link-up play.I personally dont see it as likely, but City have got it working for Aguero - so we could if needed...I'd personally be happy with Cavani though - but again, worried sick about buying another striker that flops, so wouldn't mind Berba or someone proven Ahh okay, be very tricky to introduce a Spain style overnight, more off a 2-3 year plan given some of the players in our squad.I actually feel Berba could be the answer, but I know I'm in the minority on that!!! lol
ulsterchelsea 3,221
No chance, if anything we need a physical player capable of holding up the ball and bringing out impressive array of attacking midfielders into the game. Neymar simply couldn't lead the line on his own, not sure he has ever been played / asked to do so. As talented as he is I just don't see where he would fit into our starting eleven. I know what your saying but the ethos now surely doesn't require a big strong CF. Look at David Villa for instance, he's a striker but how many times will he drift out left and attack from the wing? Even if neymar could be used in the 3 off the striker we would have a magnificent array of talent. Not wanting to chuck RAMBO out or anything but Mata ,hazard and neymar behind torres could be phenomenal. As for his fragility, I think the boy can take a tackle alright. Have you ever seen some of the bootings he gets?

I mean what would happen to Oscar, Marin, Sturridge?

I mean what would happen to Oscar, Marin, Sturridge? well marin is a bit injury prone so not sure how much he will command a starting role, think Oscar will eventually take over lamps role tho I could be wrong and studge has yet to really prove himself for me. I'm not saying id get rid of him but if it were to make way for neymar it would probably need to be so.
The Skipper 20,609
Neymar's best position is on the left, not behind the striker. We're packed there already.
xPetrCechx 13,573
The best option is Falcao but his price....too high.Cavani would be nice.
YuriZhirkov 106
I want someone that can accept to be our third choice behind Torres and Sturridge. Someone like Berbatov, Holt or Odemwingie. Not absolute worldclass but still a good striker.
Yasser 63
1.Cavani2.Ba3.Lewandowskione of them!
cujo101 75
I've come around to the idea that we should loan a 3rd striker (If we can keep Sturridge). Torres, Sturridge & Lukaku would be fine and someone like Berbatov or Owen on pay as you play would do the job.
ChelseaFanUK 1,014
Someone cheap I'd go for, if it doesn't work out, splash on Falcao or Cavani etc next summer. Not expecting anyone else to join this window though.
magic weeds 446
If we could get a cheap striker (on loan or permanently). Berba can definately do the job, though I doubt he will be willing to come over. remember he wants to leave Utd due to lack of playing time. and can Utd do business with us? KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
Berbatov on loan would be PERFECT.
Ollie 4,400
Get Louis Saha for a season, he's free. Oh wait, he's gone to Sunderland... Get anyone who's free lol.
iamjack 8
Andre Schurrle is the best option imo, sadly it looks like we wont be able to get him to next summer.

iamjack 8
Schürrle isn't even a real striker. He is comfortable playing upfront or on the wing that's what we want imo and he is young.
Amblève. 4,995
He is comfortable playing upfront or on the wing that's what we want imo and he is young. If we are going to sign a new striker it has to be an out-and-out striker, not a player who's "comfortable playing upfront". We need someone whose qualities will be complementary to the skills of Torres and Sturridge, so he would have to offer us a good aerial game and strenght which we basically lack right now. cchuka 99
I say 4get getting a striker and get a fantastic dm. if anything happens to torres/studge we'll just recall Lukaku from loan. Problem solved. you're welcome

No, I don't think so. He's about to become a starter for Germany so he needs regular playing time. I doubt he'll want to be our 3rd choice striker and rot on the bench.
