Well the chinese window still open, they might up the offer :D

On the positive, Gus seems to be getting better out of him. Hes also 24, when Frank was the same age it was his second season, and loads wanted him gone...

True point, the age is the only reason why I always wanted to keep him. Hoping he would improve.

Why ? Chinese proverb explains all....

有錢能使鬼推磨 (pinyin: yǒu qián néng shǐ guǐ tuī mò)

Literally: If you have money you can make the devil push your grind stone.

Note: English equivalent:

When money talks, bullshit walks.

I much prefer the former, it is more profound. Thanks for sharing.

As someone pointed out, the player has to agree to the terms, they aren't club possession literally that are just pushed away when the board pleases.

Oscar would never play in China at this point of his career. He and Ramires are in completely different stages of their career.

I'm fed up with his lack of development, with his more often than ever poor displays, but I don't mind if we keep him as a squad player. I don't know if he'll accept that, but I'm positive he won't go anywhere that isn't one of the five big leagues in Europe. Which big teams in those leagues would pay good money for Oscar? His only good option continue to be Juventus

Has anyone realized that if we get Allegri, Oscar will probably remain with the club...?

Have YOU realized that no matter who our next manager is Oscar will probably remain at the club for at least another season?

More chances of him staying with Allegri around than with other manager.

Most of our players aren't exactly on the verge of leaving either but some of them will likely get sold.

Oscar is not a member of that 'some'. He's probably with Thibaut, Azpi, Willian and Iva as the most unlikely to be sold anytime soon.

True, but it's not like he's on the verge of leaving at the moment.

Oscar sounds like that kind of player that will stay in the club for years and years, while everybody keep saying how bad they are and that they must be sold next transfer window, like Kalou and Mikel.

I'm not so sure about that. If there's a decent offer from some European club for him, I don't think we'll hesitate to sell him because right now, Oscar falls under the 'Dead Wood' category.

Only in the minds of fans. There has not been any indication whatsoever from the manager or anyone at the club that they think Oscar is not good enough. We haven't even tried to sign anyone who can replace him since he's come here.

That may change, maybe as soon as next season, but unless he decides he wants to leave, he's not getting sold in the summer.

Well, you can practically apply that logic on almost everyone else. So, I guess they will all stay then.

How? That logic does not apply to Mikel who only just got back into the side, it doesn't apply to Matic who has been dropped many times this season, it doesn't apply to Cahill, it doesn't apply to Hazard who is a lot more likely to want to leave, it doesn't apply to Costa who is rumored to want to go back to Atletico, it doesn't apply to Remy who isn't getting any minutes, nor Falcao, nor Baba....etc.

Oscar falls in the 'Goldilocks' region of being a regular starter here while at the same time not attracting any major interest from clubs who can actually afford him.
