I don't understand you, I genuinely think I'm comfortably one of the least intelligent posters on this forum. At least I'm confident that's the case academically.

It's why I can relate a bit to Kalou. I'm not the most intelligent, I've had to work my arse off to get to uni. If uni entry was based on a one-off, on the spot test, I wouldn't have gotten into any university, let alone one of the best in the state. And for the record I don't consider myself a troll, the vast majority of my posts are deadly serious unless marked with a trollface.

I'm the opposite. I'm a lazy genius like Francesco Totti or Antonio Cassano. I didn't study and I slept at school yet I got medium-high marks.

Interesting thread. I'm a new member here, but it's pretty obvious to me that this is one of the best Chelea sites around. It's a difficult problem though because the balance between being welcoming and keeping things on a certain subject, is a tough one. I have been on sites where there were a few very dominant posters and everyone else just agreed with everything they said. (because if you didn't, you get harassed and called an idiot and so on until you leave...) I think it's definitely better to err on the side of openness. As others have pointed out, there is nothing happening right now and if people want to discuss Chelsea, it's difficult to be topical. I think it will chance once the season starts. There are some very good posters on here and I would love to see even more of them. (And would really love to see some older posters on here for some balance in perspective and in knowing history.)

I don't understand how we have so many members on this forum that know very little about football. A lot of members constantly comment on general issues and they try to derail football topics with general drivel too. We don't have that many members who understand tactics and the reasons why we lack certain tools when we are going through a bad patch. We need more members with tactical opinions and a general understanding of the game and less members who just come on this forum to have a laugh ! We also have a culture of members racing to add to their post count and this compromises the quality of the forum.

And please, keep in mind that the season is over and that there is basically nothing going on atm. People are finishing their exams, going on holidays and things like that so it's natural that you won't see much members around.

I'm 99% sure that once the season starts we will be back to full capacities, members will have recharged batteries and sheer quality will be leaking through your monitor
