#CHELSEA: There are positives from the recent transfer talks with FC#Porto as the #Portuguese team agreed to a new payment scheme for Hulk.

SPORT TREND. @sport_trend

#CHELSEA: #Porto currently prepared to receive 75% of the transfer fee for Hulk before the deal concluded. Abramovich to decide in few days

someone can tell me if this source is a good one?

Guy is not worth £35 million. Hazed was £32 mil and his price was inflated because of the competition for his signature, nobody else wants Hulk.

Glad we are finally playing hard ball, paying stupid money for players should be left to City, Madrid and PSG.

I don't think this transfer will go through now

Judging by that logic Hazard isn't worth £32m because we got Mata for a bargain price of £23m. Each transfer is a unique process with endless negotiations and the transfer fee alone shouldn't be the benchmark when evaluating whether a transfer is good or bad business because there are also the wages, agent fees and numerous other small matters. Third-party ownerships can also affect the fees and Hulk is partly owned by another company.

That being said I agree that Hulk isn't worth that much but disagree on the reasons. Then again, is any football player really worth that much?

what do you think about UK Olympic team?

I think there shouldn't be a UK, it should be individual countries.... I am not british, i am english... Wales, scotland and ireland can fuck off... Also the UK olympics team is pure BS. If it was a proper team then it would be all Englands under 23 talent, which we have quite a bit and Bale. Not loads of random championship players because they want to please everybody... I am far more interested in watching Hulk and oscar etc...

If we sign Oscar this deal is as good as dead. Can't see the club spending over £100 million on players. Not unless they offload a few.

This is roman we are talking about. I think if the price is right he may buy both, though if he signs oscar then there is no way he will pay more than he would want to, so it will be a take it or leave it offer on hulk i would assume.

I stand by my comments, I think a players value is based on several things, ability, contract length, competion being a few of the more inportant ones.

In the case of Mata we had no competition for his signature and Valencia needed cash.

In Hazards case he wanted to leave, they had no financial reason to sell and there was stiff competition for a very talented player.

In hulks case Porto need the cash and there is no competition. It is a unique stand alone deal and because of that I think a fairer price would be £25-28 million. Asking for £38 million plus is an outrageous fee, and I'm glad the club are now looking elsewhere.

Roman pre FFP maybe, think our recent transfer policy has shifted to take that into consideration. Said it before but this deal with wages and fees could easily hit £80 million. That's a lot of cheese....
