Because Romeu has bags of potential at such a young age and he actually checks to the ball as a proper defensive midfielder should, quick passing and his movement off the ball is what shines the most of his quality. When ever we try to play attacking, our defenders just pass back and forth to one another than chucks in long. Mikel and Lampard had a great partnership at the end of the season due to the fact we were relying on the defend and counter tactic. In a 4 3 3, Romeu would be my first choice.

romeu is a better tackler than mikel and as someone has pointed out far more suited to a 4 3 3 system. in a 4 2 3 1 obi is perfect, he is the silent destructor in that system. he allows lampard to roam and mata to dictate the pace of the game. but in a 4 3 3 romeu's best suited because he is more aggresive, and covers a lot of ground.
