The target population for the racists of America is the Latinos ! Not the muslims so much, not the Jews, not the blacks. But those who vote rep are in Florida most of them I believe, the exiles from Cuba.
Vesper 30,224
I am calling it Trumps wins and he somewhat likely wins the popular vote as well the Dems have lost the US Senate and probably do not take the US House back dog help the planet Fulham Broadway, Fernando and Sir Mikel OBE 1 1

Latinos view themselves, for the most part, as temporarily embarrassed white men. Trump, when he calls them rapists, is viewed as a man telling it how it is because they agree with him about people who look like them. Its also why so many black men were quick to agree with Obama calling them sexist for not being excited about Kamala.....despite the fact they overwhelmingly voted for hillary(and kamala tonight). He probably cost her votes there too. You can only play on a marginalized group's self hate for so long. Trump just got lucky tonight. Vesper 30,224
early post-mortem what killed Harris (and she did run a near perfect campaign given what she had to work with, so cannot blame that) the gender gap, men out-roared women (massive change for the young males of all races especially) she got clobbered (for a Dem) with latinos (especially latino men) black men asians (especially asian men) the economy perceptions killed her everywhere immigration (Trump OWNED her there) Biden's 'garbage gaff' which was misquoted but stuck, and helped fuel a late Red surge the tens of thousands of anti trans attack adverts (and thsoe also smashed a lot of Dem Seante and House candidates) plain old racism and misogyny still has a huge grip and really hurt her with all minority groups and men, and even with many moderate women Edited November 6, 2024 by Vesper

A time where we could have really got to know her and saw her tested against competition. Folks just didnt really know the true her. I'd like to see her run it back again in 4 years. I think going through a primary after growing, becoming more well-known, could do her a world of good. Nixon needed 1960 to have his 1968. She can come back from this. Clearly a dem party weak on racism in order to catch up with Trump is not a dem party I would like to see. But of course that counted, once Trump encouraged the racists to do their coming out, emerge from the closets. The dems could have won some of the lost ground by returning to Christian values - they allowd convicted felon-sex offender Trump to pretend he is a Christian ! I think there is almost no chance she runs for POTUS in 2028 we do not even know what 2028 America will look like IF the Republicans keep the House they have complete control of the US Federal government for every Branch Trump is going to run riot (he already has cliamed for years he is owed a 3rd term due to the ludicrous claims that 2020 was stolen) Project 2025 is not a joke its a blueprint for a fascist takeover/remake of the US there will be NO adults in the room to check an unhinged Trump, unlike he had (much to his dismay) in his first term Sir Mikel OBE

cosmicway 1,333
The three "Harris win states", PA-MI-WI were landslided by Trump. So much for the polls. Me and my old friend and dentist Peter were the only ones who knew about these things back in the eighties. There were no opinion polls in Greece prior to 1985, whereas in the states they do them from the 19th century and we were the only ones in the country who knew about these things. We could be famous personalities on tv now. Stupidly as everyone started showing interest we considered it as a "low class preoccupation" and stopped working on the project. Hillary did not try again but she was getting of age and she was too much venomed. Mondale - Dukakis - Mitt Romney also did not try again. There are only two comebacks in recent history, tricky Dicky and Trump, yet I don't see why not.
