Just heard the same from Bolton once again. Trump does not understand, or care, about the values of these alliance; he only sees these ungrateful European countries which get these benefits without paying a dime.

Australia: Massive cyber outage hits major companies

Companies in Australia, including the national broadcaster ABC, have been affected by a disruption to cyber services. Other countries have also reported problems.

A number of companies in Australia were hit on Friday by what the country's cyber-security authority said was a "large-scale technical outage," with other countries around the world also reporting technical disruptions.

"Our current information is this outage relates to a technical issue with a third-party software platform employed by affected companies," the office of Australia's National Cyber Security Coordinator Michelle McGuinness said in a statement.

"There is no information to suggest it is a cyber security incident. We continue to engage across key stakeholders," the statement on X, formerly Twitter, said.

 

A spokesman for the Ministry of Home Affairs said that the outage seemed to have to do with a problem at global cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike, but this was not mentioned in McGuiness's statement.

Broadcasters affected

Among the institutions affected was national broadcaster ABC, which said that its operations had been disrupted.

Sky News Australia also said that regular programming had been interrupted. 

"Our computers, our systems are down, all the things that make Sky News run down and indeed for many other major companies around the country," correspondent Tom Connell said.

Britain's Sky News also reported that it was off air on Friday morning, while Spanish airports and a Turkish airline also said they had problems.

HOW WILL PUTIN ADMINISTER WESTERN EUROPE AND THE UK ?

We all know the tables are turning and Trump is happy with it - we were fighting the wrong enemy he says.
But what is it going to be like ?
With the USSR we knew:
A master-slave configuration with puppet governments in the name of international communism and each country's produce confiscated by the Soviet Union.
But Putin is not keen on international communism so what will be the new state of affairs ?

The following scenarios appear probable:
Spain, Portugal and Italy governed by populist parties subservient to Moscow.
France governed by Lepen or Melenchon who don't mind Putin pulling the strings both of them.
Czech republic and Hungary firmly in Putin's pocket.
Poland rogue nation, will have to be occupied.
Romania an unknown.
Greece governed by populists or by the left, very much the same as France.
Turkey into their usual "boirun efend, yavas-yavas".
UK satisfied with small crumbs.

What more would you advise Putin to do ?

I left out Germany.
In Germany the left is weak.
The right is also -relatively- weak.
This is because of the denazification and the collective guilt but also because of German's being realists.
Germany's objectives were Los Angeles - San Francisco.
But after the war what could a German nationalist's objectives be ? Free ... Hesse and Lower Saxony. Blahhh.
So the future of Germany in the Putin years to come is an unknown factor.
Maybe Germany will become the new Ukraine.

Young Democrat Would Beat Trump in Swing States

 

Donald Trump was already leading President Joe Biden in several swing states but after the assassination attempt, a new poll shows the former president gaining even more ground – unless a younger Democrat replaces Biden.

A survey conducted by Emerson College Polling found that Trump holds a three-point lead or more over the president in seven key swing states – and most of those are an increase from polling conducted in March.

The poll from Emerson supports that idea. When asked who they would vote for in a matchup between Trump and a younger Democrat, 53.7 percent of swing state voters said they would choose the younger Democrat
