Let's not forget that the EPL is not the easiest place to ref. The refs in the Italian and Spanish league seem much better than here simply because they have an easier job. Not that there aren't EPL referees that are just not good enough=Foy.

We certainly wouldn't have been laughing had Simunic popped up in stoppage time and scored a winner. He's already fairly unpopular here for choosing Croatia even though he was born in Australia.

May not be the easiest league to ref but you do look at decisons and think ehhhhh!!! It doesnt help when each ref has different standards.What may be a booking to one isnt to another when it should be the same rules throughout.They need to be made clear.

There used to be one black guy (muscular and athletic) that used to ref the games sometime in the late '90s to earl 2k's i havent seen him in a while he was quite sprightly and useful above all he was neutral.

What irks me is that refs never seem to be held responsible for huge mistakes. It's understandable that they should make mistakes, but week in week out we watch refs in various EPL matches make horrendous calls which sway games, only for the same guy to be in charge of another big game the following week.
