supporter 3,088
Patrick Bamford can not keep playing with Crystal Palace because he is stopping his great progress.OK, if they do not want him I accept this, but the best for all parties would be to break the loan and find a new destination for him (perhaps with us in our first team). If any team in Premier League wants Bamford on loan, maybe the best choice for the would be return to Middlesbrough to play again regularly. If Middlesbrough returns to Premier League for next season perhaps Bamford could continue with them. But this guy can not continue without playing. This was a terrible loan, they clearly don't want to play him. The club really needs to do better at finding loan destinations for youngsters. Destroys any progress they made from previous loans. I've been impressed by his attitude in training... Middlesbrough is a high level but playing in the Premier League is a higher level, he is adjusting"Who knows, maybe he will get his chance. Eidur the Spider 4,515
Might get laughed off on here but I would seriously consider bringing this guy back into the fold after such a disastrous loan spell at Palace, the exact opposite of the good it's done Ake going to Watford. The boy will have something to prove, it wouldn't be difficult to get the fire going from under him. I'm certain he will give more than some of these overpaid shitstains playing currently. Plus, a young, english attacker given a chance would galvanise this club and the supporters I believe. Give us something pure and fresh to get behind. Throw in Bamford and RLC, FUCK IT! The players playing now, the established stars are letting us down week after week, write the season off and focus on these two.I'm aware I'm wasting my time saying this, the club would never do it. I used to think this was a bad idea because it could shake their confidence blah blah..But how much worse can it get?! Even if if it's a run of 2-3 games then to the bench, then bring him back etc. It can't be bad for him, any experience is good experience!Alas you're right.. The club would never do it. Unless he cost £100m.

There is no point in focusing on Patrick. He does not, in my opinion, have the quality we need.

Term-X 7,891
Really want to get my hopes up for this news and the potential outcome, but after RLC struggled to get a milisecond of game time today.. I probably shouldn't.

Special Juan 28,141
He won't get a chance here because it would be like the club admitting their mistakes in letting him leave on loan. They cannot be judged no good if they do not get a chance.
LDN Blue 7,903
did barkley and kane not have underwhelming loans?Kane gave Sherwood the ultimatum, play me or let me go.At Chelsea, the default answer will always be "off you go". Lukaku demonstrated that quite well, didn't he?
OhForAGreavsie 6,076
He won't get a chance here because it would be like the club admitting their mistakes in letting him leave on loan. They cannot be judged no good if they do not get a chance.Does that mean that I might be good enough too because I never had a chance? Or does it mean that clubs should not exercise any judgement at all in the transfer market and, instead, just sign as many players as possible in case one or two turn out useful? The ideas behind these questions are obviously ridiculous and none of us would take them seriously. The reason for that of course is that we all make judgements on players all the time; players who are playing for some team other than the Chelsea 1st XI that is. Sometimes those judgements are right and sometimes they are wrong but, right or wrong, it's perfectly legitimate for people to feel able to form opinions on players without having seen them play for our senior side.
