He's the distributing playmaker for the Belgian NT. He reminds me of Paul Scholes (ginger comparisons aside) and his long ball accuracy is reminiscent of David Beckham. He's not the FK specialist that Beckham was (then again outside of Renaldo and a few others who is) but he's top class when it comes to crosses and 40 yard+ balls.

Well he sure looks spectacular like that but he would'nt get the same amount of key passes / dribbles per game at chelsea tho, although then again his passing % and crossing % would be higher here... so dunno how good that comparison is. Still amazing stats

Exactly. Anyone expecting to reproduce those sorts of numbers for Chelsea needs to be more realistic. Offensive stats are, in a large part, about usage. Players that have the offense run through them will always put up much better stats. De Bruyne is not coming to Chelsea to play the same role he plays at Bremen. Mata plays that role and he along with Hazard are going to get most of our stats because most of the offense is rightly going to run through them. He's going to be the 3rd or 4th attacking midfielder and he's going to have to adapt his game to Chelsea rather than the other way around. He's incredibly skilled and versatile and I'm excited about what he might be able to bring to our squad, but people need to keep their expectations in check.

Good point made up there ^^ He's actually quite like Paul Scholes when you think about it. Scholes is credited as an awful tackler, but that hasn't stopped him from playing in deep positions and being one of the best ever Premier League playmakers, has it? He just needs someone good to play beside him!

Well I can tell you this:

i've seen Kevin play at Genk for multiple times myself and imo he's one of the greatest talents of Belgian football. He is really really good.

In his position, he can be as good as Hazard in his.

Yeh he actually is, Eden Hazard needs players who understand his play/are also technical around him to really shine (else he has to do it all by himself) so KDB getting better will also be good for Hazard and i kinda expect Hazard to explode for the first time in our NT this week
