Superblue 6,372
The homegrown quotas have obviously hindered us over the last couple of seasons in not being able to utilise fully the 25 man squad.I have rated Gary Cahill highly for the last couple of years, and believe he is the type of player who will blossom the higher the standard he reaches.I would not be against us selling Alex (who I also rate very highly, but taking into consideration the homegrown rules and ages) for £8-10m in January and using that money on Cahill. LondonPride1905 236
^+1 ..It is because of the home - grown quota. My source is a friend, that got it from some "specialist" on twitter. Quite doubtfull, but considering it could be true.
SeB 1,281
Anyway I will watch carefully him playing to see if he has as much concentration springs in a game than last year and if he significantly improves his passing

SeB 1,281
Bolton's chairman did say in 2009 that he would ask more or less the same price than Anelka... So now he's nearly regular in the England squad... Anyway they are back to the wall, they have huge debts and Coyle did refuse to let Elmander go last winter whereas his sell could have provided some cash. Interesting to see how long will the fairytale long at Bolton, how long the sporting aspect will go ahead of the financial situation
LDN Blue 7,903
15m for a player with 5 months left on his contract?Good point. Then again, remember, there will be a bidding war between ourselves, Tottenham & perhaps Arsenal.

BlueLion. 21,491
Terry needs replacing, this man can do the job.Plus the club have made it very clear Alex is surplus to requirements by offering him to Spurs, his time here is limited. DavidEU 2,023
We'll have an edge on offering him better wages, that's for sure.Spurs will have the edge offering him first team football as there number one center-half. Lets be honest, if he comes here he'll start as 4th.Terry needs replacing, this man can do the job.Plus the club have made it very clear Alex is surplus to requirements by offering him to Spurs, his time here is limited.Terry needs replacing? Does he fuck. Replace Terry, watch the back four fall to pieces. JT's form has been great for 18 months.
Spike 12,049
I love how confident some of you lads are about signing this lad. Hopefully all of you are right.
termninja 5,290
Well JT is 30 and he's our most important player. When he starts struggling we will need a replacement and his replacement should be an quality English international. Garry wants CL football and in jan he'll have 6 months left on his contract. Chances of the deal happening are pretty high. But anyway, transfer period just ended, I'm out of this section! XD
