Just wondering, would he make a good right back? I've not seen him use his right foot much though. He won't be our LB, I think Bertrand will be first choice when Ash is gone. I prefer him though (over PVA) but he's still a great Left back.

What I heard is that a.perriera would BR converted to rb under avb. So no worries there. However ash needs rest and time off because we all saw what happened to Malouda. I wouldn't risk putting Pva (as much as I like him) into a new role. If anything maybe work on technique and maybe put him on LM. Worth a try.

If im honest he is a liabilty at left back, what AVB needs to try and do is similar to what A'rry has done with Bale, ultilise his immense attacking skills and turn him into a left midfielder, if we can do that we will have one hell of a player on our hands.

In happy with Bertrand and confident that he can succeed Ashley. RB is my concern. Even though Ivan is a great RB despite naturally being a centre half.

Bro I always liked the way of your thinking. I said the same thing, but some grumpy ole CFC fans say, "No he needs to concentrate on what he knows". I totally disagree. Uncle 'arry got the situation w/ Bale totally right. Also if Cole needs a breather, let Bertrand play some minutes then. IMHO Cole is a fighter & never wants to come off the pitch. Also I read somewhere he took PvA under his wing to help his game.

His defense was a bit suspect but a liability? Wouldn't go that far.
