I' ve learned to save, in fact I have yet to spend a penny of what I've earned by being a substitute (supply) teacher! Of course that may be my husband's influence on me

Question is why bother if we're gonna die anyway. All that knowledge will go to waste. Learn, have a career (if not be considered a parasite to the society), die. In fact, if to go deeper with this philosophy, then I do think that life is meaningless and that you start dying the moment you are born... which isn't necessarily a bad thing, not everything has to have a grand meaning, but pointless nonetheless. A smart corpse is no different from a dumb corpse.
