HRiver 1,512
“The most compelling reason for most people to buy a computer for the home will be to link it to a nationwide communications network. We’re just in the beginning stages of what will be a truly remarkable breakthrough for most people - as remarkable as the telephone.” –– Steve Jobs [Feb 1 1985]The man was a true genius. I have several friends who own blackberry's & do nothing but complain about them because they're a useless piece of shite that can't go a day without breaking. They're phones for people who don't want much from a phone.iPhone's can do so much more than other phones which is why they are worth more. Pretty much everyone I know with an iPhone would never get another phone after owning one. They look classier as well.
manpe 10,861
Anyone who is interested in how Apple and Microsoft started and the roots of Jobs vs. Gates feud, should watch the movie "Pirates of Silicon Valley"

Steve 10,227
R.I.P to a great entrepreneur.PC > MacMp3 player > iPodBlackberry/HTC > iPhoneMarketing is the genius of apple, not innovation.Sorry mate, have to disagree on this one. I sell PC's and Mac's and i can tell you straight out Apple as a whole is taking over sales at a pretty fast rate. There is reasons for this as well. To every 20 pc's brought back into the store with faults we get 1 Mac back in. Apple use far more superior parts in there computers then a standard PC laptop and desktop. The only reason from now on that i recommend people getting a PC is if they build one them selves because at least then you can decide what you want in it.Yes there marketing team is far superior as well but its the difference in reliability and parts used that make the difference. I had a very similar mind set to yourself not to long ago, but i quickly changed my mind once i started using the products. We rarely get iPhones back into work either with faults in comparison to Blackberry's, Nokia's and Sony Ericsson. There is a difference in class!RIP Steve Jobs! Slam Dunk 1,442
R.I.P to a great entrepreneur.PC > MacMp3 player > iPodBlackberry/HTC > iPhoneMarketing is the genius of apple, not innovation. You are wrong.Without Apple, you wouldn't have a graphic user interface on your computer now. You wouldn't be using a mouse. Without iTunes, you wouldn't be able to download music digitally on a mass scale. Oh, and please try and tell me that without the iPhone and the iPad to lead the way, that the market for smartphones/tablet computers would be of the same standard compared to if they were never made?Fair enough, you prefer PC/standard MP3 players and Android phones, whatever your reason for that is, it doesn't matter. Saying that Apple are not innovators, however, is ridiculous.

Fulham Broadway 17,319
R.I.P to a great entrepreneur.Marketing is the genius of apple, not innovation.Agree with this. A good businessman, and an excellent marketeer of products often made by child labour. Not a genius by any stretch of the imagination,
CHOULO19 24,332
As an engineer I can really appreciate his ingenuity. I have to say that Apple's amazing technology is what makes it the absolute best in the field. I expect Apple to suffer a serious blow without Steve.RIP
