In fact he's a lot closer to a Malouda than he is to a Robben in terms of style.He is a number 10 that can operate out on the left. He's smart, technical and has good passing ability. What he doesn't have is the sheer pace of Robben that takes him past players.Mata will be excellent at finding space in tight areas, recieving the ball and moving it forward. I find his passing too raw to be a 10 though. He can spot the pass but his passing isn't all that accurate and inconsistent. But he's young so he can improve if he works hard. We'll forgive him for being a bit hit and miss with his passing.
