chrismada9 1,948
Scores killed in Norway attacks - BBCFor a Scandinavia fanatic like myself, this is awful and shocking news. I suppose a lot of people know about the horrific scenes that happened in Norway! The bombing in their capital killed 90 people, while on the Island of Utøya, there was a shooting that took place which cost the lives of many. For a peaceful and loving country like Norway, this has shocked me to no end! Norwegians as well as Swedes are such wonderful people, and for this to happen to them is horrible. Until now, they have suprisingly never had a terrorist attack planned on their country since the second world war when Adolf Hitler occupied them during his invasion in 1939 for their oil supply. My heart goes out to every Norwegian who has been affected by this tragedy, and I hope that their capital as well as the rest of the country will recover quickly. God bless Scandinavians!
manpe 10,861
That's truly fucked up. It wasn't even an outsider on a jihad mission or something, but a psychopath norwegian... at least that's what we've been told as of now. I have some family members living there, it's terrifying to think it happened in their city. Sister's groom was 900m away from the explosion, lucky him.Condolences to all norwegians out there. God bless Scandinavians! i just came back from a cruise round Norway(well 3 weeks ago) and saw the island that it happened on.the news on Sky are saying it`s 92 now..85 on Utoya Island,7 on the bombing..maybe i`m slightly desensitized towards bombs a bit (served in countries that have terrorist bombers, lived 20-25 years through the IRA`s bombing campaign on my hometown etc..) but for me even before the numbers of dead came out, when i was watching it live on Sky and it was still on-going. the kids frantically swimming in the sea that would probably kill them if this twisted fuck didn`t with his bullets. it was that part that really disturbed me most..for me that was like the "jumpers" during 9/11 i do agree they are a wonderful group of people,as is the whole of scandinavia...every country is gonna spew out a vile creature from time to time tho i guess and well, they just wasn`t prepared for it because they didn`t have any indication this would ever happened to them.can remember a race hate killer in Stockholm in the 90`s i think it was or was it the 80`s?..can`t recall his name.the Germans occupied Norway twice i believe..WWII is my "mastermind" subject and not as good with WWI..but am pretty sure they occupied Norway then too.the reason they occupied Norway in WWII was because of the hard water to help with their development of bombs and they would in some cases take the blonde women to help build up the Aryan race and more specifically enhance the country full of blue eyed blondes. i won`t go too far into details...fook it`s grim enough as it is.thankfully the great North sea oil supply wasn`t dicovered till 20 years after WWII had ended. if the Nazi`s had actually found out that it was there...then they wouldn`t have had to take on Russia till at the end of the war. Germany & Russia combined with the Japanese..all that oil to feed their killing machines...hardly any of us would have ever existed. anyway back to the present day, my heartfelt thoughts go out to everyone who has lost someone they love, the people still missing and of course the people who have now hopefully found a place that will be betterr than the one they have been so cruelly ripped out of.i suspect the killer is gonna get killed in prison
Kez 2,727
Terrible news. There really are some unstable people in the world. R.I.P to the innocent people of Norway.

Kez 2,727
It's a shame the Amy Winehouse thread has more replies than this one & it's all I can see on Facebook. Innocent people dying for no reason is more news worthy & shocking than a celebrity throwing their life away.

Bit of a slap in the face to the family members. Not necessarily. He'd be charged for each count separately. Assuming he gets life (21 years) per count, it's around 1,932 years. Justice will prevail
- 25 - 167
Don't think thats the way it works in Norway LDN. Pretty sure it would be 21 years with possibility of parole after 10.

Maximum penalty in Norway is 21 years. And the jail cells look like hotel rooms.Anders Behring Breivik needs to be punished.

Do you know which party he was representing? He is a former member of FRP. When at the island, he took his time killing one by one.And when the police arrived he put his gun on the ground once they shouted at him, so I dont really know his motive.....
