A 16-year-old son has allegedly confessed to killing his mother because she took away his Playstation games console.

Kendall Anderson attacked his mother Rashida with a claw hammer while she slept, bludgeoning her 20 times, police say.

When the hammer attack didn't kill her, the South Philadelphia teenager dragged the 37-year-old downstairs and tried to 'cremate her' in the kitchen oven, according to a court report in the Philadelphia Inquirer.

When that failed, he grabbed a chair leg and beat her around the head, before dumping her body in an alley behind the house, it is claimed.

'The victim's body was found under debris,' a police source told MailOnline. 'She had suffered a blunt trauma to the head.'

Wearing a blue striped polo shirt and casual trousers, 5ft8 Kendall appeared in court today, where the alleged confession was read out.

According to his police statement, he spent three hours trying to decide whether he should kill his mother after she removed his computer games on the day after Thanksgiving, November 26.

'I couldn't stand the arguing,' he said in the statement, after apparently killing her at around 9pm.

The 11th grader has now been ordered to stand trial for murder, possession of an instrument of crime and abuse of a corpse.

Philadelphia police homicide Det. Thorsten Lucke, who read out the confession in court, said Anderson had expressed remorse for the crime and told him: 'If I could, I would not do it again.

'I really miss my mom... she was the only person who cared for me.'

So we first read about a Bulgarian nutter in spain behead an old lady in a store and now a teenage boy smashes his mum to bits with a hammer then puts her in an oven before bashing her a bit more with a wooden chair leg to them bury her outside under rubble n shit. And for a PSP?

This story is so disturbing, how could anyone do that its sickening beyond belief. If there is a hell, he'd be listed for the future.

DAMN!

No. Upbringing has nothing to do with this. His own deranged mind made him do this.

If there's a hell, this guy should burn in it.

People are not "made" like this. They don't suddenly become violent.

He's clearly been exposed to this device at an early age and been allowed to play much longer than he should. I'd also question the social class he's been brought up in and his environment. These all play their part in reasons for this behaviour.

It's not so simple as "he's bad". There's a reason.

He chose to do this, he wasn't made to do it at gunpoint. You can't absolve him of all blame. Fair enough maybe he was allowed too much time on his PSP, does that make his mom responsible for his son murdering him? Don't think so.

Yes he chose to do it. Because this choice comes from his mental state, which was obviously not in a stable state.

The type of murder shows this. It's an act of rage. Rage which has been built up in his mind because of his experiences growing up. I'm not saying his mum is solely responsible. Like I said, it would be worthwhile to look at the environmental factors. These make a big part of who you are as a person as you grow up.

He's 16. No 16 year old, who's grown up with love and care would bludgeon the person who brought him up like that. Something is clearly wrong in the his upbringing.

If I told you how much games I've played, we'd sign Aguero by the time I'd finish, but I never though of killing my mom with a claw hammer, and yes my parents did forbid me to use my PC when I was a kid a few times. For a few months even, but I respected what they said rather then trying to fry them in the oven...

Got both lol.

Beaten both. Manhunt was epic :whistling:
