Will be charged for showing disrespect or whatever. They obviously have a thing for charging him.

I also think it is a way to cover potential problems up. So we go to play Liverpool without most of our regular starters, probably Van Ginkel on the pitch, someone like Kalas as a substitute... In this case Man City is sure make a lot of noise about us attempting to throw the match, integrity, influencing title race blah-blah-blah. So it would be better if everyone in the club is on the same page about it. Now if he fields a weakened squad everyone will know that it's a club's desision. Just a thought.

Thinking about it... Good omens and all that

There's hope we'll hear something different tomorrow as this type of injury is hard to judge on the spot - Mourinho was talking what, 30 minutes after the injury happened? And if he was briefed by the medical team it happened even earlier, before he went to the press so either it's something really serious or just initial prognosis. But still we should probably prepare for the worst.
-
We will - we're missing Cech, Terry, probably Ramires, Hazard end Eto'o. Whatever Jose wants, he'll be forced to play with players who are not on his A-list and with those who are not available for Wednesday (Matic, Salah, Lampard, Mikel). So he was actually just stating the fact.
-
We will - no main keeper, no Terry probably, no Hazard, maybe no Eto'o, whatever they do with Ramires (are punishments decided yet?) - we're missing 5 players already. So he promissed to play with players who won't be available for Wednesday - it's Matic, Salah, Lampard and Mikel, and I'd say at least 2 of those belong to A-team. On the other hand it would be fun if we beat Liverpool away with our B team, like we did with Arsenal in League Cup. And by the way, about this bad-mannered disrespectful Mourinho. He was interviewed by Spanish TV channel after the game and spoke in Spanish. (sorry, I'm just really p*ssed off about this "Speaking English in the PC while representing English club shows lack of respect" babble from all sides )

Please do your best to at least pretend that you're watching... We need all the help we can get.

Our match in one frase? "Better safe than sorry". Were playing for draw or 1 goal difference, got a draw. I would have preferred 1-1, but 0-0 is not the worst that could happen. We now have to play to win at SB, no other result will do. Atletico is oficially the dirtiest team in Europe. I still want them to win La Liga. Schwarzer did amazing. My vote for MOTM. Any news on Terry? As I understand, Cech is out for the coming matches? I'm seriously surprised we have only 2 players injured. Atletico /censored/. Brace yourself for "Killers of football" headlines next. I'm worried about 2nd leg match. I wonder if we will have enough players. On the other hand, Silvino was a good keeper in his days, and Mourinho once scored a hat-trick - maybe we can put our coaches on the pitch to do the job? Damn, I don't know if I have to be happy or sad about this result.
-
Actually he was ok in defensive duties so I understood the logic by the end of the match. But God, how bad he is...
-
Why are we in black kits? Not commenting on the formation in hope that Mourinho knows what he is doing. Because our attacking players usually don't...
-
Considering his relationship with Spanish media and all the bullsh*t from them in last 3 years no wonder So, we can make it official - Courtois is playing against us?
-
Or get Mancini. Too early to lose hope yet
-
I'd rather call him legend for these stats: But I get your point totally
-
He will have too, he'd be fined otherwise. Spanish press will have a field day. They coudn't have wished for a better present than chance to question him after he probably lost the title.

Ok. Not ok, but still. Not over till it's over, as this season showed too much times already. Still 3 matches to play, and even after today - you try to swim untill you drown. In May when the dust settles we'll see how 1-2-3 pans out. Eto'o should have scored. Ba should have scored. Schuerrle probably should have scored too, but their keeper had an excellent match. Cech's illness cost us 2 points. Maybe even 3. Ramires should have been sent off. Terry's goal should have been allowed. There was no penalty on Azpi. There should have been at least 1 penalty in our favor. If it's allowed to post here in other language I'll comment about Mike Dean. English obscene lexic is not good enough for expressing such concepts, I'd prefer to say what I think in Russian. If it's not allowed I'm not commenting on today's referees. I'm gutted Jose's streak came to an end. There was something legendary about it, sort of mythical protection. Now we have one legend less. It hurts. Jose's PC was spot on. It's one of his most epic ever. Rui, dear Rui. That was rather unnecessary but I share the sentiment.
-
And if we don't he'll be a has been who doesn't know how to play football and isn't good enough for Chelsea. With so many people changing their opinions after every game Im not surprised to read anything. Though even if Mourinho is fired after failing to win a trophy this season I won't be surprised. Whatever. On the other note, I wish Rui Faria held it together, that's a hell of a touchline ban coming. But I'm sort of glad he didn't. At least someone in this team gave a f*ck about the result.

God almighty. Really? Really? Hypocrite. I had more respect for Rodgers.
-
Ok guys, can anyone explain me what's going on with Porto? Bad coaches, bad players blahblah - but even this doesn't account for a team being so incredibly bad. Or does it?
-
If Norwich or CP would lend us a hand in helping with Liverpool I'll be willing to accept

Costa is good and is carrying Atletico in some matches, the only doubt I have is that La Liga is less physical and the defense of most teams is not worth mentioning. Sure, he's doing fine against European opposition too, but still I'm a bit worried about how he will adapt to PL conditions. On the other hand it looks like he has that sort of character that gets you a long way - he's the one to be fighting till the end in any situation in any match. So I don't think he'll be a Torres like flop, he's too much of a "bad-ass" guy to let it happen to him. Also he's a type of forward who is bullying the defenders, sort of Suarez-type, just instead of diving he'll basically force you to stop him with a foul or let him score. I am not convinced that Cavani is that much better. Falcao at this point is a huge risk. We're not getting Aguero, Lewandovski or Mandzukic anyway. 50m price-tag, in case Costa mantains something close to the level he's at now, will be justified. But in case he's not... Don't know. He's good and I see him fitting into the team, but if it's 50m pounds, it's just too much money.

After all this "Gerard deserves it" talk I really want us to win the league and Jose to troll everyone with a "Terry deserves it" speech. That'd be epic!
-
I think there are always enough managers/presidents who are looking at some star player and thinking "this guy was good and now he's bad because it's this Club's/coach's/fans' fault, and with me he'll be back to his old glory days!" Overconfidence, wishful thinking, prestige issues whatever, and because of that there are always enough "wtf were they thinking?!" transfer. Sure, Torres case is probably beyond everything we've seen in football in recent years but if someone is still willing to risk it - all the luck to them
-
I'm not afraid of Liverpool. I'm afraid of the referees in this match. On the other hand, Jose has talked so much and so loud about refereeing already and you bet he won't be silent if something like today happens in 2 weeks at Anfield so I have a small hope that at least we won't get another Foy-type officiating. And also I quietly expect Liverpool to have at least a draw in some other match. They should get found out with all their hype and overconfidence. Judging by Pellegrini's recent interviews he's panicking. The team is still going strong but they begin to look tired, which is a tendency with all the teams he managed before. That and injuries may play in our hands too. Us finally beating Swansea away may be much more important result than it looks.
-
Simeone says Costa's injury is not that serious. Probably looked worse than it is in reality - but still an awful sight. Still may miss at least the 1st game with us. I'm a bit torn about it because I really want Atletico to win La Liga this season, but if they really lost Costa for any amount of time it's our gain.

Watching matches with Talkchelsea closed keeps bringing good results It's a bit boring but football is a serious business, sacrifices should be made. Won an away match at the stadium where we traditionally have problems. Not bad. How many clear chances did we miss? I've lost count on 8th. If we were scoring half of what we create we'd kill every other team on goal difference... Thank God for Ba. Some of "ay Jesus" moments in the final minutes, Cech really got bored by this Courtois debate and keeps showing what he's got, good for him and for us. Note to Pellegrini - mind your own business before trash-talking Jose Mourinho, because the latter usually backfires. Ask Wenger. Title race on!
