Would add Cahill to that. Poor defendig for Watford's 2nd, that's Conference level if you ask me. And it's not the first time he does that. I know you're not supposed to have a go at the attacker in that area, but at least stay close to him and narrow down his angles. To back down like that it's just plain stupid.

Merry Christmas guys, all the best, enjoy your holidays. And thanks to Volkswagen for this spring-like Christmas. 10°C in Bucharest today when normally you'd run out of clothes at this time of the year.

Watched that presser, too. Van Gaal's cracking. Could be a thrilling match next Monday should Stoke thump them. Hiddink vs Vaan Gaal, these two can't stand each other, Hiddink's going to go to Old Trafford all guns blazing to put that fucker out of his misery.
-
His interviews are spot on, refreshing, calm and that's exactly what Chelsea needs right now. Always loved his bits on the need of more goals to kill the game off. I remember in his last stint here he used to talk about this after every match, urged the team to be adventurous and always look for the 2nd goal, and the 3rd one and so on. Welcome back Guss. Bring on Saturday.

I agree, it's for the best, has a chance to redeem himself and fight his demons from the past. They also said in that programme that the relationship between Sergio Ramos and Florentino Perez is completely broken and Ramos has no intention to fix it. So I'm assuming that Florentino Perez told Mourinho to deal with with the usual suspects (Ramos, Ronaldo, Pepe) until summer when he'll try to get rid of them and let him rebuild the squad. Otherwise I don't see how he'll deal with that nasty dressing room with those three in it after they (plus Iker) were the main culprits last time when Mourinho was in charge.
-
Going to Real Madrid. They said it tonight at Cadena Ser. Already negociating with Florentino Perez. Rafa Benitez will get the sack in the coming days, he's lost the dressing room, Isco won't speak to him, James is unhappy, Ronaldo walked into the dressing room after Madrid's game against Rayo and threatened to leave the team if Benitez is kept in charge. Mourinho urged Florentino Perez to speed up the negociations as Man United have offered him a contract and he has until January to give a response.

Hahahahahah

My feelings exactly. Can't wait for the presser.

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/dec/22/devil-and-jose-mourinho Basically what we, the glory hunters and the ones that should have no opinion because we do not attend games, have been saying for months now. Good read. Would advise you to read Diego Torres' book on Mourinho as well. It's like the 2015 Mourinho has put in practice that book which was released in 2014. That guy Diego Torres must hate Mourinho with a passion, but boy he's spot on with all the things in that book.
-
Love him or hate him, but no one can hide the fact that the guy is a genius. I'm sure he'll be adored here should he take over from Guus. He'd transform Chelsea in ways nodody would have ever imagined. The fact that EPL is different from other leagues and his tactics would not work here are just stories, he'll easily find ways to adapt to English football and be successful. That's what he does, evolves with every year that goes by and finds answers to everything they throw at him. http://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/how-pep-has-evolved-leaving-barca-and-how-his-tactics-could-fare-england#:xQZTc6Gs5jOZ6Q http://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/9-pep-guardiola-formations-last-year-demonstrating-bayern-munichs-tactical-flexibility#:RYvXMP5fYfOZ6A http://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/guardiola-doesnt-need-centre-backs-and-heres-why#:cWFVRIFeZVOZ6A http://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/6-things-you-genuinely-might-not-know-about-pep-guardiola#:WanNCHrM_1OZ6A

Arsenal was lucky IMHO, scored with their first shot on target and then Titus Mangala gifted them the second. Had De Bruyne burried that big chance just before Arsenal scored probably the outcome would have been different. I like Pellegrini's approach to matches - no matter the opponent, City play their natural game, keep a highline, their full-backs bomb forward, possession is always supperior and players are not restricted to express themselves on the pitch. As I said the other day - can't see any world-class mananger available next summer worth breaking the bank for him, bar Diego Simeone. But we have to have a plan B in case he stays in Madrid and IMHO Pellegrini should be on that list. Assuming City win the title come May, which I truly believe they will, we'd be fools not to even consider a proven manager with two EPL titles in his three season in England.
-
You did not get my point. Was talking about the United job in particular, right after he got the sack here. It's not like he's poor and starving and needs a job asap. Could easily take a sabbatical until summer, clear his head, stay with his father, detach from everything he's gone through in the last months and then start over next summer. United or Madrid, I don't care. But now? That's suspicios if you ask me. It's like he's been waiting for this job for so long that he can't pass this opportunity. Also the sign of him looking for revenge should he take the job before our game at Old Trafford. You do not act like this with your loved ones, if indeed you love them. That's what sick people do, can't get over something and look to take revenge at the very first opportunity. He's bashed the Chelsea fans enough last season to have me have 2nd thoughts about him. That's were the "Mourinho's right, you're fans are shite" chants came from and piss me off everytime I hear them. As I said, you don't do this to your loved ones, even if your target is to motivate them or stuff like this. Some have said that standing is allowed now because of him, but that's irrelevant. You can't hide the fact that he actually meant what he said. Did not call anybody a wanker. Put that emoticon to express the bullshit in "One of us" sentence. = "yeah, right...", "that's bullshit".
-
Better sign that contract soon, want him on the bench for when we visit Old Trafford next week. These Chelsea players that have "betrayed" him and are "mentally weak" now after he allegedly "brought them to a level that it is not level" will be fucking pumped up and hopefully will rip him a new hole. Not even a week has gone by and he's already jumping the ship to our rivals. "One of us" . All those claiming Mourinho was craving for the United job all the time, they were fucking right. Now he's yours United, get him to sign a lifetime contract and then watch your golden boy Martial figthing for survival at Aston Villa in three years time.
-
The stadium + the mess we're already in. It will take at least a couple of years before we're back on track and I do not think that Simeone will leave the club where he's an absolute emperor to come to a new league, hardest in the world, a new lifestyle etc. Plus a league where he'd have to face the likes of Guardiola, Klopp, Wenger, potentially Mourinho in his very first season in England. Nah, not going to happen, he's fine in Madrid.
-
Jeez mate, you make it sound like he's going to be dropped for Neil Warnock. It's Guardiola ffs, every manager in this world would be in danger of getting the sack. I actually do not think he'd be such a bad choice to be fair. Think about it - Diego Simeone is the only manager worth figting for come next summer. Others are either under a contract, do not want to come here or Chelsea is not interested in hiring them. Plus we will be on a limited budget and no Champions League football. Pellegrini is similar to Carlo if you ask me - he's a gentleman, brings calmness into a club, has a good relationship with his players and likes positive football. The thing is that, such as Carlo, he has no Plan B - it's either free flowing football, or he gets exposed. Does not have that balance between attack and defence. But overall he is a decent manager and can build a competitive squad on a limited budget. I truly believe that Diego Simeone is Chelsea's no. 1 target, but at the same time the club must have a Plan B as well, in the eventuality of Simeone rejecting their offer and I think Pellegrini is right there on that list.
-
It did indeed but whould Chelsea have played the same football with Mourinho in charge? Me thinks not.
-
Bit late as I had to leave right after the final whistle. Happy with the win and happy with the way we've played. I'm nobody to judge the loyal match going fans, but their attitude was wrong IMHO. Eden, Cesc, Diego Costa rats according to who? Some deluded journalists trying to sell their papers? Come on... They'd look like fools if someone comes in three years time and reveals those players' name and none of them is Eden, Cesc and Diego Costa. Azpilicueta has not bombed forward that much since his Marseille days and you tell me it's not Mourinho's fault? Give me a break. He's restricted so many players from offensive duties and now that he's gone they felt it's the right moment to relax for a bit and play their natural game, but still it's their fault right? HOW THE HELL WAS CHELSEA SUPPOSED TO PLAY LIKE THEY DID YESTERDAY IF MOURINHO DID NOT LET THEM PLAY LIKE THAT? They should have what? Tell Mourinho they are not following his 19th century tactics and will play the way they want from now on? Would not have that been a dressing room riot as well? Oscar was all about backheel one-twos and rabona crosses yesterday. His best game in a long while. Wonder why is that? It's so easy to play your game when you have a plethora of teammates in front of you and you're not made to run like a rabid dog in defense over and over again. Read Rummenigge's statement on Van Gaal's sacking at Bayern, especially the attitude part. You could as well replace "Van Gaal" with "Mourinho". It's the exact same situation. It all stays in the attitude - managers like Mourinho and Van Gaal have to have success. Otherwise they loose everything because of their disgraceful antics.
-
Welcome back mister. Best of luck.

Wouldn't go that far into calling them "retards" since we're all tied to the same passion, but for sure some things are really fucked up and I don't understand why would players have to be crucified for allegedly digging Mourinho's grave. I know certain fans are emotionally attached to Mourinho. I was as well attached to the older Mourinho, not this one. The new Mourinho is changed and as some have said, Real Madrid have ruined him. This one right now is just a pale shadow of the old, charming Mourinho. Back to my point - people have to understand that an institution with the calibre of Chelsea does not need Mourinho's tactics, stubborness, his big ego, favoritism and all the negativity surrounding him, continuous fights, players appearing in court for his mistakes etc. Players were right in wanting him gone and I don't buy anything I read about the lack in playing time being the reason why he's gone because some of them we're unhappy they're not playing enough and stuff like this. He isn't gone because of this. He is gone because players have turned against his 19th century tactics. That's the only reason. Forget how much they are payed for doing this job and how much they love certain clubs. Big club players will always want attractive football. Take Hazard for example - do you think he's here for his 10m a year salary? I tell you, he's not here for that aspect in particular. He's earned enough money until now and he'll be earning tons of cash before he retires, so people have to understand that players have short careers and when talented ones like Hazard are wasted and made to play 19th century football, then things will heat up. They see the way Barcelona and Bayern play, you'd be fooling yourself if you think they [Chelsea players] do not aspire to the same football. Admit it or not, to win a Champions League trophy with Mourinho is a matter of luck. You are lucky enough to produce miracle after miracle, then you win the trophy. That's 10% of the cases. The other 90% of cases are when the things go on their normal route and teams with a positive mentality win the biggest trophies. Where would you want to be in this case? Going with Mourinho into an adventure knowing that you have to rely on massive luck and stars aligning once in a million years for you, or playing for a manager that actually knows what's best for his players and does not rely on others weaknesses to win games?

El Pais the most reputable Spanish outlet, basically their BBC/Sky Sports, published an article 2h ago saying Pep will indeed leave Bayern at the end of the season, but his destination is unknown as he's not made a decision yet. Four teams want him - Chelsea, City, United and Paris. They say Chelsea made contact with him yesterday and Guardiola has a "blank cheque" from Abramovich on his table.
-
Agree with this. I also think that it is the players' fault as well to an extent (30%) for being in this situation so the board should do the right thing next summer and chop the squad. Appoint a world class manager (Diego Simeone if Pep is not available) and provide him with the right amount of money to rebuild the squad and bring the players he want. We've saved money last summer, hopefully we'll be saving again this winter so money should be no problem next summer.
-
Now he thinks there's a mole in the squad that has leaked the line-ups prior to the Porto and Leicester games. Jesus Christ! He couldn't have had a similar season to his 3rd one in Madrid even if he had tried to, could he?
-
No Champions League football next season would ease the pressure on him and give him enough time to rebuild the squad, impose his philosophy and most importantly get used to the English football. Another thing is that we'll be moving to Wembley come 2017. Similar pitch size to Nou Camp, wide, perfect for his tactics. City would demand instant success with Champions League probably their no. 1 target. I find it hard for a manager, even if his name is Pep Guardiola, to come to England and take the league by storm from his very first season and challenge for Champions League trophy as well with all the congested fixtures and no experience in EPL. I, for one, would give myself time to adapt to this league, build my own squad and impose my style of play, hence I'd choose Chelsea. But that's me being subjective. Plus he'd took over from Mourinho, his biggest rival - an extra motivation to show the world that Chelsea is not only about parking the bus and can play beautiful football, too. But I think he'll choose City in the end. They've been wanting him for years now and this seems the perfect opportunity to get their hands on him. They don't care about money, they'll offer him the Moon should he ask for.
-
I'm mad as fuck and I feel like crying, but I said it after the Porto game - that win means nothing if Monday morning we draw Paris and then go to Leicester and get battered. We had one last chance to Champions League football next season and we fucking blew it. Just to play two more matches in Champions League and look like Bury in disguise against Paris SG who will beat the shit out of us. That Porto game was a massive smoke screen and we've won it because they were shit and their manager messed up his tactics big time. Five days later we go to Leicester and look like idiots. We only try to score when we're behind on the scoresheet. Football this days is about full-backs bombing forwards, defenders keeping a high line, midfielders playing close to the opponents box, press high up the pitch etc. We have none of that, we're absolutely dreadful, 19th century football, no matter what team we're playing Mourinho always likes to play the underdog card and wait for others to slip before he strikes. A team of this calibre should ditch this mentality and start living to its reputation. We're a worldwide superpower, we must play the same football as Barcelona, Bayern Munchen, Real Madrid and that's attacking football. No more defensive tactics, no more excuses, no more away games at United and Liverpool when we're going there to defend the 0-0 and have 1 shot like we'd be fucking Aston Villa. I'm sick of it, I'm absolutely sick of watching mid table teams going to places like the Etihad and Old Trafford and scoring and missing lots of other chances, while we're ALWAYS going to places like that looking for a draw and trying to defend the whole game. And what's worst and others have mentioned it, too - this situation right now, this will take years to be fixed. Jose Mourinho will leave Chelsea FC in a big mess. His outdated tactics does not even compare to the situation he has brought us in. Ugly football, unhappy and overrated players, no Champions League football etc. What a laughing stock we've become in the space of half an year.

Yo dude stop with the hate and calm down. I see you everyday bragging about going to games and shit. Frankly it's becoming cringeworthy. Just because you're going to games doesn't make you a king. I'd have gone to games, too, had I lived in London lol. Chelsea Football Club is an international brand right now, it does not belong to the Londoners or to the loyal fans that have been there pre Abramovich so stop with this nonsense. We're all entitled to an opinion, whether you like it or not. Some of us might not live in the UK, but stay calm, we're investing enough money in Chelsea related articles, trips to London once or twice a year and so on.
