Yeah can't really blame him though because despite being a pain in the ass, he got every right to be one because it is his player after all, we would have done the same with Mata, Luiz, Hazard...etc And don't worry about the fund mate, we got a lot to spend this summer, the new BPL deal alone generate £50m or so and we have a lot more income from CL, sponsors so again don't worry, we will stil sign 2-3 more players after Cavani if Mourinho wanted us to(As long as they are not incredibly overpriced or impossible to afford like Messi, Ronaldo haha )

Loving people who are saying we should get Lewan. HE WANT TO GO TO BAYERN ONLY, HE SAID IT IS HIS 'DREAM' CLUB just to let you know. I would love him here too but it is just not going to happen. Think he will stay at Dortmund for 1 more year then leave for free or join MU/Madrid this summer. He got no interest of joining us so it is about time we stop dreaming about him. As for Cavani, you can't say he doesn't want to be here. He already said we and the BPL are 'interesting', obviously his dream is going to Madrid like 70% of players playing in Europe today. The deal is only being hold up because that idiot president who want his release clause activated or we offered an overpriced exchange like Ramires/Ivan+£40-£50m which he can f*** off with. I think this won't end anytime soon, maybe end of June if Uruguay got knock out early. If worst come then I think we will probably sign Mario Gomez/Dzeko or some sort and settle for it which will be frankly quite annoying but won't be a disaster.

Yeah I just grouped my 3 posts altogether in that quote. Fair enough, I am glad it worked out the way it did for him anyway and he is one of my fav player as you can see, I got nothing against him. Wouldn't say he is one of a kind though, plenty like him atm like Mata, Bale, Silva, Ozil, Fabregas...etc but he is one of the best in his position I can guarantee. Anyway, back to Cavani shall we
-
No no no, if this is what going to happen then I am so annoyed with the board, it is just the same old same old. Settle for second best because the best is deem too expensive. You get what you pay for and Cavani will do much better than Gomez here. If this happen and later we sign Hulk for £35-£40m then it will be just...irritating.
-
Di Maria is worth at least £25-£30m himself already, Higuain around £20-£25m at least, Coentrao £15-£20m so that is way too good and not to say cash haha, obviously BS
-
Yeah that is his name haha, I didn't know how to spell it and cba to search so Really? I heard he is quite promising, admit I've never seen him play. Was hoping him to become new Vertonghen for us.
-
Yeah every cloud has a silver lining I suppose
-
The tax rates already have. Only Bundesliga and BPL really because Serie A financially is not that much better than Spain/France. Their richest club(Juve) are hesitate to even spend £20m on Higuain. Bundesliga really only have Munich who will and already have spent a lot this summer, Dourtmund will sign the replacements for Gotze/Lewan but even then it won't be much, probably £30-40m max.
-
Yeah I know, we made a big mistake with Torres/Aguero situation and also it was partly Roman's fault for wanting to sign his pet. I am happy about Mata, I am just saying it as an example and even then at the time if you had the choice of Mata or Silva, which will you take? I already know the answer to that... I know, it is good to negotiate but like I said, we decided to BID £49M so if we were already willing to pay that much, is this worth it to try and lower the price by £4-£5m?(his clause is £53m) Madrid and City are about to enter the market, City already has with their 2 signings and more will come as Pellegrini arrives. Madrid are probably waiting for Carlo to be appointed before starting their spree. How can you be happy when your strikers are NOT GOOD ENOUGH and people are complaining when the board are trying to solve that problem.
-
Yes Sky and BT agreed a deal worth £1BILLION with BPL, it will be spread around to clubs and the amount depend on the club's finishing position this season. We should be looking at around at least £40-£50m, not to forget the CL money we recieved and will receive as we progress, the amount of sponsor deals we done and more. So we are looking at £100m easily
-
Must be in: Cavani, a CDM(De Rossi maybe), a CB(Mangala, that Belgium CB playing for Ajax) Most likely out: Torres, Marin, Ba
-
We did, that is the point. We are thinking he is worth £30-£40, Atletico wanted the full clause which was £50 and we try to lower it by hard bargaining so eventually someone else came in and paid it. The same is happening now, if we have bid £49m for Cavani, why not just pay like £5m which will be the release clause? Wait 1-2 more weeks and Madrid/City will decide "fuck it we are gonna do this" and pay it so we lose him because we were trying to save £5m. Then we will end up signing someone like Gomez for £20m or Hulk for £40m who are both not as good as Cavani so we have to settle for second best. The same in the past happened with Aguero, David Silva, Falcao and countless of others. It is time to change that.
-
Just pay the clause, no point arguing over £10m or so then lose him like Falcao
-
If Kevin returns and Schurrle signs for us then Marin is surely going to leave(hopefully too). Doubt we are gonna sign Hulk after having these 2+Cavani. ST: Cavani, Lukaku(said he is staying next season), Ba, Maybe Torres(hopefully he is sold or loan too) 3 ATM: Kevin, Oscar, Mata, Hazard, Schurrle, Moses, Ramires can play there too so it is WAY MORE THAN ENOUGH There will be no place left for Hulk, Jovetic or any other players who are going to play at CAM, RW, LW
-
Here is my post again for people who are still doubting Cavani or share concerns over his price tag
-
Yes I am saying he is worth it, all I am saying is at the time it was considered a risk to pay that much money for a very young player. And the same can be apply to Cavani, top scorer in Serie A for 2-3 seasons now, at least 30 goals per season for 3 years so why is he a risk like most people are making it out to be? Naaa people was complaining about the price so I used a player who we paid top buck for to back up my point, Lukaku imo is not a risk beccause he cost like £12m and the club can easily ditch him if he turned out to be shit(which he isn't). Risk is like Torres, Sheva...etc the players that we paid massive amount for.
-
Then WHY ONE EARTH would you want him to come to MU? You think we are not going to challenge them for title or something? Obviously him going to Arsenal would be better because he wouldn't improve our direct competitor, Arsenal won't be our competitor unless we fight for four place again which won't be acceptable now Mourinho is here.
-
Sheva was horrible for his fee anyway. Can't believe how people are underrating Cavani massively, scoring 30+ goals for 3 years in a row is not enough? What is? Scoring every single match like Ronaldo/Messi? I agree with you btw
-
I don't understand people sometime, we go for top players and pay huges sum, complain that they are overpriced go for old experienced players(De Rossi...etc) and low sum, complain that they are too old go for young promising players(Schurrle, Mangala) at decent fee then complain not good enough, overpriced...etc LIFE IS NOT PERFECT, We are not going to get Cavani for £30m, Schurrle for £10m or whatever prices ''You'' think they are worth, it is up to the club to decide. Many people I see are obsessed over young players the club have(Lukaku, De Bruyn) so what if they are sold/loan? Are you telling me you are willing to have Lukaku OVER CAVANI? He is a promising player, but that doesn't mean anything. This place is for the best players only, if young players think they are good enough for the club then let them fight for their place with top class players.
-
That is why I think he is amazing, while being the best form of his life, he can still improve and become even better. He wasn't like when we bought Torres which WAS PEAKED AND GOING DOWN HILL. This guy will only go up from here unless he get a serious injury. Maybe using peak wasn't the right choice of words, my point is he is in the best form he has ever been and there is no better time to buy him.
-
If we are gonna go by the logic, then Hazard was overpriced, come on £32m for a 21 years old from Ligue 1 and look how that turned out... SOMETIME YOU HAVE TO TAKE RISK, Cavani's standard price is at least £40-£45m, don't even try to argue because that is the right going rate for him nowaday. So paying £10-£15m more is a bit overpricebut not MASSIVELY OVERPRICED LIKE SOME PEOPLE ARE MAKING IT OUT. RVP 29 years old injury prone-£24m RISK Ronaldo even though the best player in the world AT THE TIME AT £80M IS A ENORMOUS RISK Ourselves with £32m Hazard-RISK City with £40m AGUERO-RISK And countless more... So just relax
-
To all the people who are still showing concern about the money that Cavani will cost, think of it this way: He is in the peak of his career and will only get better, I believe if he stay fit he will have at least 4-5 25+ goal seasons and if he does manage that then £53M IS A BARGAIN. Secondly, he is as good as Falcao(everyone got different opinion but base on the amount of goals scored, he is just as good) and Falcao cost £51m so Cavani can't be far off that. Thirdly, Suarez who everyone(media, other club's fans) think is worth at least £50m, ARE YOU TELLING ME HE IS BETTER THAN CAVANI? Because imo, they are just as good as each other. Fourthly, don't bring up Serie A crap that it is a shit league, maybe it lost its best players over the years but IT IS STILL THE MOST DEFENSIVE LEAGUE IN EUROPE. And lastly, he cost this much BECAUSE HE IS WANTED BY RICHEST CLUBS IN EUROPE(Madrid, us and City) so of course Napoli is going to milk it as much as possible. Also he said he want to go to Madrid if he had to choose and if we are willing to offer £45-£50m then might as well make it £53m(release clause). No point trying to save a few millions then City/Madrid decided fuck it and pay it before us so we lose him like we did with Falcao.
