Thing is last year we mostly played ok teams, this time we have already played Everton, MU, City and even Arsenal in the cup. So considering the opposition quality, that is a better return on the face of it. Also the more I think about it, I am quite confused. Should we really care about players if the team is winning anyway or still scoring goals? Will it make much of a difference if Mikel was banging them in instead of Eto'o, Torres. Would we have him playing CAM instead of Mata right now if that is the case? I think we probably should and would.

Well the clock is ticking down for him... so meaningless matches like this would help his chance. If he doesn't get to play Basel you can be damn sure he won't get to play against teams that are more than decent in the BPL.

One of the disadvantage of having too many quality players. This is why teams like MU under Ferguson, Juventus atm, PSG essentially have the best team around. Not because their squad is the best but because they have world class players and don't have many players to compete with, making them more happy and perform better. While in the some case it might results in some player turning arrogant, it is worth it most of the time.

Lets not try to get carry away too much guys, we played 4-3-3 yesterday and he was essentially playing as a CAM like he used to for the last 10 years, making runs and score. He essentially did nothing defensively since Mikel was always there to do it, Oscar as well on occasion. Basically now we need to keep playing 4-3-3 or benched him permanently or playing Mikel as the other CDM all the time. I think Jose will probably stick with 4-3-3 which might mean more chance for Kevin, but Mata will definitely continues to suffer, our wingers as well since now Hazard is undroppable as LW, only really RW left for Schurrle, Willian, Ramires. CM will be occupied by Lampard, Oscar and probably from now on Mikel most of the time.

I know that is what I said, Mata is not fighting with Jose as in off field but it is purely on field problem. I hope he turns it around somehow but as the season go on it look less and less likely which mean eventually it will results in off field conflict and someone leaving.

Lewandowski is already a Bayern player, he confirmed it himself last week so that is done really. Only Falcao is possible but then again he is on like £13m TAX FREE atm, think that would be like £15-£16m if he moves to us just to stay on the same wages? And he is soon 28 as well, not really young but I agree though, while we might sell one of our best player last season we need to sign someone of similar quality to prove a point.

Drogba only remained because he was eventually trusted by the manager(at the time) again. Pretty sure he wanted to leave when Jose was sacked and eventually convinced to stay by love from the fans and main role for him by Grant. In 2008-09 remember Scolari tried to isolate him and eventually he was sacked and Guss immediately brought him back. With Carlo there is nothing to say, kind of the same with AVB but eventually he was sacked and RDM brought Drogba in again. Same cannot be said of Jose now, whenever a player get on his bad side, that is it. There is no 2nd chance, no forgiveness only if the player is untouchable like Ronaldo. Even then Jose would try to create problems by fighting him like Casillas and will result in either Jose or the player leaving. While Mata is not necessary fighting Jose, he is not really on his good side atm and unless something changes it will remain that way.

How much will we get for him in Jan/summer you think? I hope around at least £35-£40m from PSG. Maybe swap for him+£20m for Cavani or involves Matuidi some how.

I know, me too but at least as long as we have some great attacking match it will be fine. If you could some how mix Jose with Carlo team of 09-10 then we will be unbeatable.
