I am hoping that there is a change this half I can't think of much to add that y'all didn't cover, and honestly I am still working on my morning cup of tea Honestly I think the announcers on my side are really having too much fun tearing Chelsea apart... they will probably find something wrong even when we score!

Wow, you guys are unnaturally quiet today!

UGH!!! what happened to the defense??

honestly, I think it also comes down to how much time you want to deal with it... the last Sony mp3 I had the software that went with it was a pain in the butt... iTunes is simple and easy (unless Sony has made it more user friendly, I'll stay with my iPod). I like music but I'm not as into it as some of these guys and I'm not as tech savvy either! Between the 4 of us we have a nano, an iPhone and a shuffle. We are an Apple family tho. My husband loves his shuffle but he only uses it when he's at the gym and he doesn't have a lot of music on it. The nano is much better and allows you to choose you're songs and you can put them in playlists and what not.

it's worse up close and personal, they had similar horns at the Chelsea v. Club American game (fans on both sides had them) and they were horrible!!! Worse the Dallas stadium roof was closed because of the weather (100 degrees F and then a thunderstorm)!! Ban them immediately! I still haven't figured out why ESPN couldn't filter the sound out of the broadcasts... there has to be a way.... at least some of it could have been blocked, couldn't it?? -
Those are unusual temps for Poland aren't they? They sound like Tennessee and Texas summer temperatures!! Which is why we have a pool in the back yard!! but on the other hand my low temperature is 0 degrees (32°F) but only for a week or two a year! spring comes in March and fall comes in late October!! Having lived farther north I can say I don't miss the cold but the long hot summer is hard too!! To my two Indian friends above: I realize India is a fascinating place and full of industry and technology! I'd love to see it some day! Of course, two sets of my neighbors have been from India originally and I had friend from India in college, so that helped dispel and lapses in judgement I had early on!! Perhaps we should learn from one another instead of judging each others home nations so harshly on preconceived notions? just a thought
-
Thanks!! Anytime you want to the US, I'll show you around and show you what we're really like and you can teach me about Poland!! My husband has been to Poland several times on business and has enjoyed it, except that it has been December and cold!! He says that everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Thanks for reminding me that I shouldn't let them get to me!!

I think you should study a little more American history and political science before you go swiping the whole country with such large brush strokes. The entire country was not founded as penal colonies.... Nor does the whole entire nation have a low regard for human life... I personal think you owe me an apology for that one. Yes the mass murder of the Native Americans (which we prefer to be called by the way! Yes, I am part Native American, my great grandmother was Chippewa) was horrible and yes, I do know that, but it is not the only atrocity in this world and the Americans are not the only ones to commit them!
-
never said it was directed at anyone! I am however very tired of defending the US and Americans while it gets bashed all of the time. Perhaps I should just give up my membership!
-
okay, I have a new one... people that make judgements on places they've never been or lived based only on what they hear in the media

Well, they are laws in Tennessee and some of the other southern states, but aren't "US" National laws. In the US each state determines certain laws themselves, concealed weapons and the one about shooting someone on your property are two examples. States rights are one of the quirkier things in the US government/law and a contentious one! Like driver's licenses which are state issued instead of being issued by the US Government. There are different regulations for it in each state and some states had to really tighten up their policies after 9/11. There are other odd ones called blue laws that forbid the sale of alcoholic beverages on Sunday (varies state to state) and each state has their own liquor board that determines where beer, wine and "spirits" can be sold (some states you can buy all 3 in a grocery store and in others you have to go to a beer store for beer, a wine store for wine, and a liquor store for the rest! LOL) Oh and wearing helmets when on a motorcycle or scooter, some states don't require it at all, one state just says you have to have something on your head, and others require helmets at all times. So, it is not enough to know US laws, you have to know the laws for the state you live in!! I've lived in 10 of the 50 states and every move there is always a quirky law or just plain stupid one.

welcome from an American member

totally agreed and we have to many in Congress to get that corrected. Here it's legal to carry concealed weapons as long as you have a permit. It is also legal to shoot someone on your property and ask questions second! I have my permit but never filed it or bought a gun. the only reason I have it is that I was interviewing with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for their ballistics and firearms identifications position and thought I should at least have fired a weapon!! I turned down the job because it required 2 years in a city 3 hours from where we live and we couldn't pick up and move (my husband's job is much better than mine and we had 2 small children at the time).
-
Senseless violence, my department head's cousin was killed in a parking lot because he got angry over someone being parked to close to his vehicle and the other guy had a gun! The shooting happened in front of his 3 children!! Those poor kids!! The trial is happening right now and they convicted the guy who shot him but it's still so senseless.

zazzzk Dude!! I like you but you have to get better taste!! LOL at least it's not the red one!!

I let this drop last november because honestly, I was tired of being raked over the coals. I wasn't bashing your NHS, I was bashing the American version of it... what they have planned isn't good and they have so many other little bills tucked inside of it to pay for it (like tying student loans to national health care... not sure how that goes together!) that I think they needed to fix things before they enacted it. Honestly, I am worried that I will lose my private insurance and that is all. I am not complaining about my tax money going for national health care for those that can't afford it... that I know needs to happen and I am all for that. I just think we need to reign in insurance and pharmaceutical companies along with it. If they weren't so out of control then maybe our health care systems wouldn't be so out of whack... Just wanted to let you know I'm not really that self-centered and I do care about my fellow citizens, I just think my government is not the best at taking care of them!!
