But what about the top clubs, I think with the exception of PSG, no other club wanted to inquire about him even though it was clear that he was wanting to leave, especially after some of his embarrassing behavior And again, I'm going to happen when he will eventually leaves, because he has a habit of leaving a club in complete a mess with a dressing room often unmanageable due to the huge egos he creates. Us and Inter Milan especially are prime examples. I really don't want that even if he gives us a couple of trophies in his probably short second reign here.

Reported in a paper called The Times, I can link it but you can't read it as its behind a pay wall unfortunately. http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/sport/football/clubs/chelsea/article3778079.ece

But it what makes his job at BVB more remarkable. He does not get even a 1/4 of the spending power Jose will have at Chelsea and every season he has to sell at least 1 of his star player. Yet he still makes them competitive and gets them to a Champions league final. Imagine what he could do with much bigger spending power? Jose has to rely on a short term plan of big spending then hope motivation is what gets the glory. Once that runs out he leaves the club and sometimes the club goes down the pits (just look at Inter Milan, or heck even for a couple of seasons after he leaves).
-
Then don't you think that this shows why it could possible go wrong for with this appointment? To me it looks like a marriage of convenience, as it seems Jose was not the first choice with Roman, and i t seems Jose is choosing us because most clubs don't want to touch him after his embarrassing behavior at Madrid. It seems that he won't get total control of all football matters like he wants and that the old fissures that came last time he was with us with us will reappear and it will lend ugly like last time? I mean for gods sakes there are already reports that Emenalo wanted to leave (and he is close to Roman). I can't help but see that conflict will arise sometime in the future.

Klopp, if the club were willing to pay out his long contract. Can wok on tight budgets, and most importantly does not have this hue ego that has a defend at all cost at the expense of the club which is what I'm really not looking forward when it comes to Mourinho.
-
When did I say he will definitely be a failure? I said it may not be as successful (or at all) as before but wwith the squad he has inherited and the money he will spend, he better give us success since he will also bring the controversy that follows him. And you make this argument about how fans are so attached to him, I want to ask what happens when he will probably leave again? Are the likes of you going to spend every season crying and demand that the club bring him back again. This unhealthy love for the man isn't god considering he is on of the most unstable managers when it comes to job length.
-
Yeah, you might want to read the Klopp comment and thanks for backing my argument.
-
With the squad he inherited and the amount of money he spent with the only competition was what was seen as a weakening Barca side. Of course t has to be seen as a failure. One La Liga title from a manager of his caliber is a poor return. And the funny thin with your second question, is that it seems he as not Roman's first choice. I would prefer the supposedly first two choices in Pep and Klopp, mainly because they have managed to win titles and would not produce the controversy Mourinho does. Even more impressively with Klopp since he can still make competitive squads on limited budgets.

Are yo misreading my posts on purpose or do you have limited brain capabilities to read at all? While his managerial career certainly has been successful his time at Madrid has to go down as a failure for reasons already given. It also shows that he is not a god as many people believe him to be and there are big negatives when appointing him. But since everyone is telling me how brain dead I am for not worshiping him 24/7. I now expect him to win the title every season he stays with us as well as last one champions league. Bare minimum requirements.
-
And like I said, a Barca team that was weakened that season, and was even more weaker this season, yet he and Madrid went over the edge in spectacular fashion despite spending massive amounts of money every season- that's a failure in my eyes. When he comes here, he has to win the League every season in my eyes, and at least one champions league (if he stays for what expect 3 years) considering the money he will be allowed to spend wit our already expensive squad. Anything below that s underachieving.
-
The league is just between Barca and Madrid, and yet everyone has been saying that for the last two seasons Barca have been weakened. So how comes Madrid did not capitalize on this despite that idea? So yes it should be considered a failure because he should have done so much more with the money he spent.
-
But we are not talking about his overall time as a manager, we are talking about his time at Madrid, nice attempts at strawman arguments.
-
The best short term manager, but have you ever considered that it might not the same success story that he had with us last time. People have just assumed that he will be here for the long term and that it will be nothing but roses and honey for us. The league is much more competitive then it was when he first came here. And not to mention in Europe the likes of Munich have become near invincible super powers, And wee have just seen with his tenure at Madrid that he can fail (and I'm sorry, but just one La Liga title and Copa Del Ray is no where near enough considering the squad he inherited and the money he spent to add to it). And I can't not ignore his negatives (and there are massive negatives with him) because they can cause some of the most cringeworthy stuff possible in football. Yet the most frustrating aspect is that some fans have decided that we are nothing without Jose and that he is the club himself, which is ridiculous.
-
In 10-15 years time, History will remember that he managed to accomplish in a weak league with only two competitive sides in it; while inheriting the most expensive squad in the world and putting even more money to make the most expensive squad in the world by ten-fold; just one La Liga and One Copa Del Ray. When he rejoins us. He has to win the league next season, I won't except anything lower then that. Since he will again inherit an expensive squad and (if Rafa is right) have at least £100 million to spend with.
-
No, I'm allowed to have these opinions, and i will say them. Must be feeling angry that apparent forum sweethearts like Kojo get banned due to their own stupidity yet I stay. Hurts you people doesn't it .
-
Of course, when he doesn't win and then has a massive temper tantrum to try and turn attention away from incidents where he was tactically outsmarted that causes nothing but embarrassment for the club just so he can try and keep hold of his big ego. He doesn't do it for the clubs sake, he does it for himself at the expensive off everyone else.
-
Yes, but considering people love to bring up Rafa's infamous "fact" rant, having a sheet to try and establish 'facts' to try and defend his time at Madrid which must be considered a failure, not exactly graceful. If this was any other manager doing it you would all be laughing at him and would not want him here.
-
What, having am anger that acts like a complete twat? If this was not Jose who we were going to hire, but another manager who did the exact same things that Jose did during his tenure at Madrid (poking people in the eye, having breakdowns in the media, making some of the most stupid claims put to man, and going over the edge so badly that by the end he stops doing press conferences), would you honestly be saying that this manager would be perfect for us? No, most people would be fearing that we were about to hire a deranged madman.
-
Of course I'm going to comment on Jose, because this whole rumour started with the idea that Jose would not want him . Do you honestly have your mouth so far down his cock that you get offended when anyone makes a comment that is not licking Jose's arse. I guess you are going to say its not "worthwhile observation" again .
-
He hated the Italian media as well, and there is a good reason. Its because they know that he is a massive attention whore that craves attention from the press. The big difference between our press and there press is that they take everything he says with a grain of salt and don't follow his backside unconditionally, and don't take some his stupid behavior as fun and games because it fills their columns. You can tell from that interview that his ego is massivly bruised and he wants to come here because he will once again have a mass following called England that will sucker up to his every word.
-
This whole idea that Luiz is a liability defensively is for the most part fueled by the media insisting that he is one - using ideas like the stupid 'he should move into midfield' idea to help create it. In my mind he was probably are best defender and I recall very little of his mistakes (which I don't think were that bad as some are trying to make it out) have led to goals. The likes of Terry, Ivanovic and Cahill have been much more of a liability defensively , making stupid mistakes that led to goals (Cahill backing of Adebayor and not closing him up, Terry lunging like a headless chicken against Newcastle and not marking Gervinho that led to Arsenal equalizing, Ivanovic - to many to list). Yes if Barca offer something like £40 million then we might have to consider it. But if Jose wants David Luiz gone because he is seen as defensively a liability, to backs Terry or Cahill, then in my mind he is a flipping idiot
-
He will be glad that he finally goes to a country which suckers up to every word he says.
-
That depends if they come and what formation he used. If he were to revert to a 4-3-3 he could well put both Essien and Lampard in it with De Rossi/Modric. Of course what you and me are saying in terms of transfer is just media speculation of course.
-
So I'm on a wind up tour becuase I have an opinion and I want to defend it when criticized for it. Or is it you just acting like a dick becuase I don't share your opinions on Jose? Also there is a difference in strength between Ozil and Mata, Ozil is about 4 inches taller and has a more physical build then Mata, so my argument is justified.
-
But I'm saying he was never favored by Mourinho if you actually read my posts properly. He never would make him one of the cornerstones of the team and I fear he will do the same with Mata due to the same problems he had like Joe Cole (e.g. lack of physical strength0 despite all of his benefits outweighing those few negatives.
