Rammy and Lampard are proving to be a great partnership for us,but think back to Fulham where Rammy stunk . This partnership is flourishing and allows us to press and get back into position when needed,they compliment each other perfectly. But most importantly they have the scope to allow us to take the game to the opposition .

He should still be at Chelsea,forget his age he is a world class footballer and these are very hard to find ,Mourinho would not have let him go when he did ,some players are finished at 30 like Michael Owen and Rooney will be ,Drogba was forced out of Chelsea before his time was up. I dont think Jose would have let him go when he had so much more to give.

Ah finding a new midfielder is a different subject and yes Lampard will not go on forever,but I am sure you do not want to hear the quote from Jose again about looking at the player not the birth certificate. We certainly need someone who is world class to replace him though,because we are asking too much of him. Agree he is not lightweight like Giggs but he is of similar stature to Zannetti who is still playing at Inter and won the champions league with Jose when he was 2 years older than Lampard,Jose only sees what a player is contributing on the pitch.

On the other hand there are those who think we never lose with Mikel despite his stats and perfectly illustrated by the two halves v. Spurs and who get terribly excited by a goal in 5 years at home v Fulham. It would look like Jose might be joining those of us who can't have him and his slow sideways passes and lack of energy and aggression at any price.

He bossed the game last night with Rammy ,this midfield combination is perfect and left the lauded Spurs midfield fighting for breath. Class and energy ,this is Jose's first choice now,performances have earned that .

Wrong the losing formula will have been reintroduced. Check the win/play stats we were brilliant last night and 2nd half v Spurs for a reason. You do not think Jose has seen this?

A fit Mikel? I didn't realise he had another phantom injury,silly me thought he had been dropped. I think we may see more of the bison than Mikel from now,I wasn't sure about his levels of performance .but he did well at Swindon and I would have him ahead of Mikel.

We needed someone who would aid in faster transitions to fuel our counter-attacks. Like you do not need that in every game? That is how you should play ,those sideways slow passes are the problem as well as hanging back and letting your midfield partner engage the opposing midfield alone ,whoever Mikel plays with in the midfield will struggle as we do not press and lose the midfield battle ,graphically shown at Spurs ,sorry fanboys these are football lessons you nedd to learn.

Mikel - dropped - positive and as predicted . And the stats are keeping pace. You fanboys do not know when you are beaten . "We had a problem against Spurs in the first half,when we changed it was much better"

The only ones making fools of themselves are the fanboys with their useless hero dropped again and we win well .

The number of fans on here doubting him already was crazy ,we got rid of a Fat Spanish Waiter and we got Jose back home ,he is god and you do not question god do you? The last two games have convinced me that Jose is now getting to grips with his return and is assering his influence on all things ,sit back and enjoy the ride . The players are starting to believe and tune in and we are going to be great. These players will be programmed to die for Chelsea ,Jose is starting to get into their heads. THE SPECIAL ONE IS BACK HOME .

How to anchor and boss a midfield ,not just sitting back and plugging imaginary gaps of your own making aka Obi Mikel. Frank and Rammy our first choice midfield pair,confirmed . Class and legs and bite a great combi that compliment and take the game to the opposition and support our three properly ,backing the play up in tandem as well as recovering their position when we need to defend ,without one just sitting and holding hands with JT & co .
