  1. Credit to the lads for giving it a go. The red card all but killed the game which is a shame as it was shaping up nicely. From a Chelsea point of view, Torres was our best player. Ran his socks off, took his goal well and led the line well, encouraging stuff. Hazard and Mata both looked good as did Ramires. Mikel under par, Lampard still doesn't convince me in the double pivot. I think there was enough in there to look forward to for this season.
  2. Great finish from Torres then it all begins. How is that a freekick against Torres? It's a blatant foul by Savic and an obvious booking. If the referee gets that right then the Ivanovic challenge never happens. In any case, at the very most the Ivanovic challenge is a yellow card. Pathetic. It's ruined the game and given us a problem for the start of the season. When you see the Okympics and the multitude of sports, all officiated to such a high level and then you see football, such a huge sport worldwide, with officiating like this at the highest level. Pathetic.
  3. I know that he probably wont play, let alone start but I would absolutely love to see Hazard and Mata play together today.
  4. I simply don't want to attempt to cover even half if all of the things that are so wrong in your comment. Far too overwhelming a task.
  5. Given that we are without Marin, I would like to see Sturridge start wide right. Yes he is wildly inconsistent but with no Mata, Oscar or Marin our options are very limited.
  6. I didn't say it for dramatic effect, I genuinely dont have the words to detail exactly how wrong you are. As much as I enjoy watching Barcelona play and as much as I love writing insightful comments, this would be a task to steep such is the sheer amount that I would have to correct. Your comment is mindblowing, to say the least.
  7. Unbelievable game, hugely entertaining. PSG looked great going forward but were the polar opposite of clinical but looked very weak at the back. Lorient looked great on the counter, could have scored more than the 2 they did. 2-2 a fair result in the end. More games like this please.
  8. How have they not scored at least two goals I'll never know.
  9. How have PSG not equalised. Ibra just missed another sitter. Now Nene has missed a great chance.
  10. I've never seen so many great chances missed. This one from Menez.
  11. PSG finally have a goal. No surprise it's Ibra, by far and away their best player tonight, super goal. Fight back is on.
  12. Crazy game, Lavezzi and Ibra have missed sitters at he start of the second half. They really need a goal.
  13. Abysmal defending from PSG, the former Arsenal and Boro striker whose name gives me nightmares just walks through the back line. Serious problem now for PSG, down 2-0.
  14. Veratti has played a few sublime passes, he's been caught dwindling a couple of times but he is just 19 playing in a new side with lots of new players. Very impressive stuff.
  15. PSG are shaken, very exposed at the back.
  16. If you thought Oscar's miss was bad earlier, Alex just missed a sitter.
  17. Bad start, open game though, could be goals in this.
  18. He actually tried to make something happen. Late in the first half, when Hulk came on, Oscar got into the game more. That was Brazil's best period of the game and Oscar was heavily invoked. Sometimes teams have bad days, this was a bad day all round for Brazil.
  19. You said, and I quote " weak mentality, him" what else could you be basing that assessment on other than the miss?
  20. You've gauged his mentality based on a single miss? WTF?
  21. That's a bit extreme mate. It depends on the mentality of the player and given the incredible off the field difficulties Oscar has had to deal with just to play I'd say he is mentally strong enough to overcome this.
