Going back to the Ronaldo goal last night, it was a super finish by the way but looking deeper, nobody has really looked at how for me Mignloet was partly at fault here. As the ball is played through Ronaldo's body shape is not straight onto goal. it's at an angle. Mignolet has to anticipate that Ronaldo is going to hit that at any given moment, so from moment one he has to be set. He takes two very small steps to his left, it only takes one movement to the left and he is in trouble, the second wipes him out completely, yet when the ball passes him he is only inches from making contact, that's the margins I'm afraid but I still think Mignolet should be at least doing better with that goal.
