Luis is a super player, but he wasn't never going to dislodge one of the best and most consistent defenders in Azpilcueta. I also do not think we have sold him without having either an agreement with someone else or are close to signing someone. A club of our stature doesn't sell and then hope, we sell and replace, quickly.

I for one do not believe that JT can be at that level or even play that many games next season. Even if he does, and we pay this fee for Stones he has to be played, has to be played no doubt, and if that's the case then GC is the man who loses out. I hope JT is at the level, damn sure I do, but in the grand scheme of things we need to look past the now, and that's the reason we are chasing Stones.

I like the risk City have taken, of course every transfer is a risk, but they have put their balls on the line with this one, and him being English. It will pay off I'm sure of it. They made great use of Navas, Sterling is so much better and can play as the 10 if needed, pre-season aside I feel this is an incredible signing.
