  1. It's a shame Essien's left foot isn't as sweet as his right.
  2. The Veetle link Sam posted is a better stream, anyway.
  3. Mine was working fine up until now. Just suddenly stopped working.
  4. Not a bad first half. Nice to see both Kalou and Malouda get on the scoresheet, even though Kalou could've had a hat-trick by now. Decent performance so far, but I'd like to see Sturridge get involved a bit more. I think we also need to let Belletti go forward a little bit more down the right hand side of the pitch, as I feel that's an area we'll be able to exploit. Every time he's gained the ball going forward so far, he's been in acres of space, and I feel we need to take advanatage of that.
  5. The Color Purple, by Alice Walker. Quite disturbing and awakening, but good so far, nonetheless.
  6. Line-up for tonight: Hilario Belletti Alex Ivanovic Ferreira Ballack Deco Malouda J. Cole Kalou Sturridge Subs: Turnbull, Bruma, Matic, Essien, Lampard, Borini, Drogba.
  7. Terminator, do you ever do anything other than moan mate? Although I do see where you're coming from. I'm looking forward to seeing how well Sturridge does. Hopefully he'll play well and manage to get himself on the scoresheet! I'd like to see Ferreira and Alex both involved too, preferrably from the start.
  8. Who needs to fear swine flu when Ancelotti has his own prescription?
  9. Anyone got any links to download the match so I can give it a watch? I've been at work all weekend and haven't managed to see it as yet...
  10. A great result, and it's nice to hear that Joe Cole's back and played well... I haven't managed to catch the game, or even highlights from it yet though, as I've been at work all weekend. Does anyone have any links to download the game or anything?
  11. I'm also a fan of the German. And, I must admit, Deco's starting to grow on me too. As others have said, Ballack balances the team out nicely, enabling Lamps to roam forward whenever he fancies it. However, I still think, that even after a slow start, Lampard will score 15+ goals for us this season, and manage that quite comfortably. It'll take him a while to become accustomed to his new found role under Ancelotti, but he's looking more and more comfortable in the position each game.
  12. I think he played well as well, but I'd have liked him to get a little more involved, wouldn't you? There was certain spells where I didn't see him touch the ball for a good 5 minutes or so. And to add to that, what are everyone's thoughts about Deco? How do they think he played tonight? Is he going to be a permanent fixture in our side under Ancelotti?
  13. I thought Belletti did quite a good job tonight, and if he can handle Simao, then surely he can handle anything that Blackburn are able to throw at us. I hope he starts there again for the weekend, he's somewhat underrated, in my opinion.
  14. A great overall performance tonight from the lads. I do actually follow Atletico quite intensely so I do pety them a lot, even more so after tonight. I'm pleased that Kalou managed to get a brace, and finally have some luck go his way. I thought Anelka, Lamps, JT, Ashley Cole and Michael Essien were all immense tonight... almost faultless for the most part. Great performance, even better result. Can't ask for much more. Bring on Blackburn...
  15. I'm glad Ashley didn't feature for England tonight, especially if it means he'll be lively on Saturday. He could be the difference for us against a fairly strong opposition away from home. I'm thinking a 2-1 victory.
  16. Hilario, any day of the week. I haven't seen enough of Turnbull to pick him, though, so my opinion does contain some form of bias.
  17. Is it necessary? It's slightly annoying, but if it will help bring in more money for the site or whatever, then I'm quite happy to put up with it.
  18. Chelsea 2-0 Porto. Come on you Blues.
  19. I'd be happy to write one for Essien?
  20. Yeah, I think that's a good idea Steveo. I'm sure there's other things that I could add, but I can't think right now. I'll add my thoughts at a later date if I think of something. The only thing I can think of right now is to finish the remainder player profiles off. Other than that, keep up the good work.
  21. Yeah, it was a great result. It was always going to be a tough challenge for us, as I said previous to the game. As Jim said, Drogba's goal was fantastic. A great glimse of strength to turn the defender almost inside out, and then an electric finish with his 'weak foot' once he caught sight of the goal. Well, I think Malouda's out to prove Kid British wrong. "You can't win the league with players like Kalou and Malouda"... My arse.
  22. Excellent news. Not too fussed about Paulo's return, but he does add adequate cover to a few positions as he's fairly versatile. I can't wait for Joe Cole to get back in to the first team, though.
