  1. I don't know whether it's still the case as I haven't been around all that much for a while, but the lack of articulacy on here often refrains me from posting. I think it's more the case that a lot of members who frequent do not speak English as their first language, or so I'm to believe, anyway. I'm not sure what you can do about it, but often the lack of correct grammar and punctuation makes it hard to read posts so I often just dismiss them and don't even bother reading them.
  2. Why's that? Any reason? Good result yesterday. The second half performance was the best I've seen Chelsea play for a while now, which is a relief. Nice to see some fluent, attacking football pay off. Made up for Malouda as well. Different class today - a much improved player nowadays.
  3. For once, my friend, you are wrong.
  4. Anelka is less prominent when Drogba is in the team, but still pops up here and there, and is used more as a supplier than a goalscorer when Drogba's playing. However, when Drogba is absent, Anelka fills the void well and is capable of scoring goals up top. I don't think it's just Lampard and Drogba, it's just that they're two of our best players.
  5. I would add you, if I had Facebook. I deactivated my account around three weeks ago, and have never looked back since.
  6. I'm hoping Turnbull gets a chance. Hilario needs to be kept on his toes, and he'll think he's the definite number 2 keeper if he doesn't get dropped due to the couple of mistakes that, ultimately, cost Chelsea the game last Saturday. I hope Delap breaks both of his arms before the game, though.
  7. I can't wait. Looking forward to the game, promises to be a good match.
  8. Joe Cole. What a ball, son. Anelka should've done better there.
  9. Greg Halford's coming on for them.
  10. Simple... Cech. Kick out of his hands. Drogba. 2-0.
  11. We were lucky not to concede there. Woeful defending.
  12. Great result. 4 goals in 3 cup games for Sturridge now. It's a shame he's up against two of the best strikers in the league for a starting place in the first eleven. His time will come, though, eventually. We're the favourites to go all the way now, and why shouldn't we be? There are no teams left in the competition that should be of real threat to us, apart from -maybe- Citeh, depending on which Citeh turns up!
  13. The site's looking good Jim, top work. But I must say, I prefer the font being Verdana, as opposed to Arial. It doesn't look as professional. That's if I'm being critical, though.
  14. I think so Shane. 2-1 victory. Gooners to take the lead, Ashley to get us back in it and then JT to score a late winner.
  15. If you read my post, I thought it was from the midweek, Carling Cup tie at first, hence why I said I agreed... Was the shot deflected by the way? I thought it was at first, but on second viewing, it looked like it wasn't. Yeah, I agree with Cameron there, too. Opinions cause debate/discussion, therefore making your match reports more popular/active.
  16. Nice to see you're listening to your critiques. Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed though! I added a rep to your report.
  17. I agree with this Star Man choice. Good report, Al. Edit: I thought this was from the midweek fixture. A word of advice Alex (don't take this the wrong way) - I think the reason your match reports aren't getting as much interest as they could - and probably should - be getting is because they're fairly lengthy. People will just look at the length of it and think to themselves "I'm not reading all that!". Try and shorten them down a bit mate.
  18. I think we'll win, and comfortably at that. Similar performance and result from midweek will do just fine. If Sturridge ends up starting/coming on, then I'm expecting to actually look interested this time around. Bolton 1-3 Chelsea.
  19. Yeah, I'd agree with most of that. Our midfield was just too strong and over-powering in comparison to theirs, they may as well have not been there. Deco and Ballack controlled things, as did Essien when he came on. I don't think there was one 'bad' performance from any of our players tonight, but I thought Sturridge could've looked a little more interested. To say he's trying to prove himself, it didn't seem (from tonight's evidence), that he was up for it. Hopefully that'll change, as people have already been critisizing his attitude.
  20. To be fair to him, it was a lovely first touch initially, but he really should've been putting the finish away. If it makes him feel better... it's not like Kalou would have scored in that situation.
  21. Sam and MC for providing us with that stream. Deco would be my man of the match, he was excellent today. Closely followed by Ballack.
  22. What a counter-attack! Great block by Ivanovic to regain possession. Great run by both Essien and Cole. Good finish by Deco. Game over.
