Joe's also unfortunatly always injured lol. I heard that Zhirkov's medical was to be on Saturday (yesterday), and he would be announced and join up with some of the players for pre season training on Monday. I also think its good that Turnbull and Sturridge are joining up with the FIRST TEAM for training on Monday. For Turnbull its expected, but it looks like we are really going to give Sturridge his chance in the first team instead of reserves...Good stuff =]

But then at the end of the day...You can get so many years out of him, and if Roman is prepared to waste all of that money on a 19 year old...Then why should we worry about the price. I also heard it was 40 something million (like 42 or something) that they wanted us to pay. If its close to 40 million thats not as bad, that money buys you half a Ronaldo...Just under 1 Kaka (whose 27), No Ribery's, and one and a bit Benzema's (sorry to have to mention it Terminator X)...Its not all that bad in that context of crazy football transfer fees. I just feel like we need one majorly expensive young wonderkid to push us that little bit further and make us fully world dominant....Like Barcelona have their Messi. With Pato we would be indefinantly unstoppable.
-
No we havent signed him yet. And im not sure, most of the talk has died down. There was something on a website which said we are going to sign a pre agreement to bring him here next summer before hist 21st birthday (he turned 19 a few months ago), so that he gets the experience, and we definatly get a potential superstar.
-
I read somewhere that his agent was going to wait for the speculation to arise to its peak before rubbishing it so JT can get a new Chelsea contract with higher wages...Badddddd agent...baddd agent man!
-
I dont know how reliable this source is, but ive found this about us signing him today on the internet: http://www.thesoccerblog.org/Chelsea-to-si...cast-for-cheap/ I know he's a midfielder, but where abouts can he play, ive only ever seen him play centrally, can he play as a right winger as well orrr...?
-
I like Ancelotti's thinking already, buying good young talent bringing the average age of the squad down, its what we need...I bet he would have had a difficult time bringing the average age down at Ac Milan with all those oldies there XD. I dont know about Dzeko, id love to see him play for Chelsea, but something just tells me he's not the player we need, i cant help but think he could be another Kezman. I mean yeah he's young and scores lots of goals undoubtadly, but he's not the silky dribbling winger we need unlike Aguero/Pato etc, players like that. And the fact that hes not from a reknowned fortballing country just, i duno, i feel like he wouldent have to work hard to get into their national squad or learn anything off the rest of his team. Overall i dont know, i wouldent mind seeing this go through because he is a great player/scoring talent, i just somehow feel he is not what we need.
-
They are trying to tempt him away with double his current wages, which will mean he gets £300,000 a week....FUCK ME! Thats a shit load of money....But at the end of the day, who wants lots of money if you have to live in Manchester and play for some retarded team callled Man City...How gay does that name sound!?
-
Inter Milan are the cheap persons Ac Milan lol!
-
To be fair Wes we have actually already been linked with Hazard before the end of last season, so i duno. Good young player, Belgium have a bright future with him and players like Dembele (another wonderkid Chelsea were linked with). Unless he is one for the future if we sign Zhirkov we wont need another left midfielder. Im not that bothered about signing Ribery anymore, and isnt he right footed anyways, so couldent he play on the right wing...Hence why were are still going for him when we have practically signed Zhirkov, every video ive seen of Franck he seems to lead with his right foot, so hes not exclusivley a left winger?

To be fair...Benzema £30-35 million to Real Madrid...Pato, only 19, two years younger....£40 million - £50 million....Although i dont have anywhere near that money and if i did id be a tight arse with it too, but that price isnt too bad really when you think about it and how many years we can get out of him, and how he would want to play for Chelsea and Ancelotti....Ultimate WIN. PLEASE buy him *prays*

Yeahhhhhh two in two days, now Ancelotti has taken over the ball is rolling, both great signings. Zhirkov should sign soon, but according to one paper the contract talks are still in progress and Ac Milan are trying to Hijack the deal at the last second...But then again another paper says he is having his medical tommorow/today (just got back from playing a gig, its 12 now...So technically today...Saturday), so i duno. If we got Zhrikov and Pato we would absolutly have the best squad ever for now and the future, screw those Galactico assholes....So glad we have Sturridge though =D

I think if we get Zhirkov, Sturridge and Turnbull then that is the basics of whate we need for a great and slightly younger (and more English) squad. I hear Sheva's on his way back to Kiev, and maybe Deco and Calvalho are on their way out, so long as we give Mancienne a chance we dont need to replace anyone in defence. This morning i have seen reports of Chelsea after the awesome PSG player Sessegnon, as a replacement for Deco, the ageing (but in my eyes still good) Ballack, and Essien when he goes to the African Cup of Nations (Which Mikel isnt going to). I think if we got those 4 there is no way we wouldent win the Premier League and Champions League. I think Chelsea will secure the first three then push for a big bid for either that PSG midfielder, or something really special up front like Pato or Aguero. If we do get those 3 id be happy, and a currently great young Striker (because Sturridge may need some time to become a legend) then id be exstatic

Everyones all =| faced at the amount of money on offer. But if we want a big player, with incredible ability, and at such a young age, i say why the funk not offer a rediculous 60 million for him. Might aswell go blow our money on an "investment" (even though lets face it he will never be sold fo this amont of money). If Roman is happy to waste the money, and we all want to have Pato in our team, lets just go for the bitch!
-
He is a left winger, like Joe Coles role on the right, he does the whole tracking back aswell, and obviously as he can play left back he does a good job of tracking back. He is meant as direct competition for Malouda and has better dribbling IMO. I also think he would be a great underrated signing

If this is true...I seem to start every funking post with.."if this is true" you could qoute ALL the times ive said that in one big reply lol...But apparently the offer we made really was a "MONSTER" bid: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Daily Mirror reports that AC Milan have blocked a monster offer from a Premier League club. The club is believed to be Chelsea. The offer is regarded as "massive" and described as a monster offer. The player in question is Brazilian forward Alexandre Pato and the offer is believed to be in the region of £80 million. Pato is a player that AC Milan would like to keep, and they don't have to sell after Kaka left for Real Madrid. Newly appointed Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has not yet completed any transfers, but is closely linked with Man City forward Daniel Sturridge. The City youngster is a promising young forward, but not 100% ready to play for a team that competes for silverware in every competition. This must be regarded as a transfer for the future. Valencia forward David Villa is not out of the picture and Karim Benzema could also be a player that Chelsea will compete for. Franck Ribery rumours are also circulating over Stamford Bridge. AC Milan duo Andrea Pirlo and Gennaro Gattusso are also mentioned in the press as possible targets for Chelsea boss Ancelotti. ---------------------------------------------------- The last bit was for Terminator X really.
-
If this one is ACTUALLY true, a good signing IMO. Along with Sturridge it looks like exciting times ahead for Chelsea, might finally buy a player with potential and turn him into an absolute world class star, Ala Terry or Lampard. Although i feel slightly paedofilic getting excited of Chelsea signing all of these "kids". Actually, scrap that, im safe, im 19...Any of you older fans better be careful though.
-
Yeah but Shevchenko currently has the number 7 shirt...Hes certainly overpriced...he COULD be a cokehead 0=)

I just read on a website (cba to find out which one for the link, but the same general story was kicking about on a few pages of www.chelseanews.com) and it says Tevez has enrolled his 4 year old daughter scarlos jr into a Cheshire school for next year, to sum that up, that means hes staying in the Manchester area (why would anyone want to do that...really...lots of money, but what do you spend it on in MANCHESTER). So basically it looks like citeehhh win in the Tevez race. OH NOES! another fail >.<
-
Apparently Man City are winning the battle to sign Tevez, as he made up some bull shit excuse about wanting to be part of their building of a great squad...Some anti Chelsea crap like that. And also Terminator X Man UTD are gonna make a £30 m bid for Benzema, and Real Madrid have contacted Lyon about his availability, how do you feel about that? Knowing the newspapers we may end up being linked with him, maybe these two teams going for him may spark Chelsea to make a move.

Chelsea have joined the race to sign Jonjo Shelvey, skysports.com understands. The Charlton Athletic midfielder is still only 17, but he featured regularly for The Addicks last season. A host of clubs have watched the England youth star in action, but it was Tottenham and West Ham who appeared to be leading the chase. However, it is now believed that Chelsea have entered the chase and made their interest known. It is understood Chelsea would be more than willing to allow Shelbey to return to The Valley on loan - something which appeals to the relegated Addicks. Indeed Shelvey could remain at Charlton for a couple of years before linking up with Chelsea. The Blues are understood to be keen to bolster their squad with young English talent and Shelvey certainly comes into that category. --------------------------------------------- I personally think this would be a fantastic idea and i hope to see it happen. This would suggest a move in the right direction for young English football and for Chelsea FC
-
Definatly, i think your right on both cases. It is a good signing, as Chelsea continue to sign great players for the future...But there needs to be a youth structure. Last season DI Santo or Stoch came on the pointless side of 10 minutes to go in a game. We could set something up where the best2 or 3 youth team players get to play in the Reserves, and then the best 2 or 3 Reserves ge to be in the Chelsea squad, and then we play them in the early stages of the League Cup or F.A cup against lesser oposition Ala Man UTD (im sorry i had to say that name...never again). Just something which will guaruntee whatever the squad that the best players WILL in some way get a place in the squad

I know this topic is fairly old but i just found this on the internet when actually looking at a Zhirkov story. Looks like we will be bringing in Dzagoev NEXT summer, so he can have more playing time to develop at CSKA...I also read another story, he's a Chelsea FAN! And believes Chelsea to be better than some crappy team called Real Madrid who were after his services.
Chelsea have option on Russian sensation Alan Dzagoev
19.02.09 | tribalfootball.comChelsea could bring Russian youngster Alan Dzagoev to London next season. Chelsea have a close relationship with Dzagoev's club, CSKA Moscow, and the Daily Mail says the Blues have an option on the young attacking midfielder. The 18-year-old has already been capped twice by Guus Hiddink and Roman Abramovich's club are thought to have an agreement to bring the midfielder to Stamford Bridge before his 21st birthday.

I cant wait for Ancellotti to take over, i think it is exciting times ahead of us. He knows how to handle big players, how to get the best out of people of all ages too, and because of the way AC Milan operate i believe he will come with the intention to make Chelsea another club who draws heavily on their youth academy for the future of the club. And if the transfer window IS like a dance...surely Ancellotti is the cool one who arrives late because he was at a different party..Which attracts all the already accounted for ladies if im correct...So if you understand what im saying, when he takes over there will still be some hopefully great signings....Otherwise we will end up with the desperate slut of a player at the end....
-
If the stories are correct....(when are they ever) then the price is 18 million euros which is about 15 million pounds. I think a good signing, such a good player, and only 25, for a non rediculous price....I believe he can go on to do great things at Chelsea. And doesnt everyone love Barcelona anyways? I can pretty much say that every player who comes to Chelsea ends up staying at Chelsea or falling in love with the club, so i dont think we need to worry too much about this boyhood hero's Barca crap. And also if it does become true and he wants out after a while, we can charge barca out the ass for his services. So a good signing in my opinion, plenty of positions he can play and finally a winger who doesnt have a giant ego and will take players on. Yes Malouda is in top form, but he still misses some sitters, and in the bigger games he is too afraid to take full backs on like Joe Cole does.
-
Has anyone seen the videos of him on youtube? He has the WORST temprament ever, such a dirty bitch...Some of his tackles are hilarous...Jumping up for a header, winning it, and then on the way down studding the opposition in the back of the neck! Unless this is the replacement for Riccy C's departure (of which may not be happening because he wants to speak to Anchelotti first before making a descision) then we dont need him. For the left back position we have supposedly closed a deal fror Zhirkov now which will be announced mid next week (apparently...we all know how Chelsea and rumors go by now), and he can play all down the left hand side including left back.
