  1. I think Chelsea arent about signing big names, i think it carries on from the start of the Jose M era...When he said he didnt want to sign big names because he didnt want to have to work with their big ego's. Chelsea would much rather create big names, as i would, and i agree with ESK that we dont have the right set up to do so. I would say this is down to our persistant change of managers, We need one manager to stick around for many years...Create the team he wants to work with for many years, and then look at what we have in youth and reserve teams and slowly introduce those players into his plans. If Chelsea are starting afresh every funking year with a new manager we will never have a good and efficient club creating their own big names.
  2. MORE DISSAPOINTMENT!? David Villa's agent claims Valencia are no longer willing to discuss the potential sale of his client. The Spain international had been widely tipped to join Florentino Perez's revolution at Real Madrid, with both club and player expressing a willingness to do business. An initial approach from Real fell through last week, but the capital giants were expected to reignite their interest over the coming weeks. With Valencia currently struggling financially, it was regarded as inevitable that they would be forced to part with at least one of their more saleable assets. Villa was expected to be the player sacrificed, but the striker's representative now claims that Los Che have decided against verifying a departure for the 27-year-old. "Valencia have changed their minds and they are telling us they don't want to sell the player, as everyone knows, having talked with three or four top clubs," Jose Luis Tamargo was quoted as saying in the Spanish media. "They have put us through a situation that is, sadly, very unpleasant because this is no good for anyone." Villa, who is currently away on international duty at the Confederations Cup, has also been strongly linked with Chelsea and Barcelona. TO SUM UP: Villa is staying put because he cant move to Real, another possible fail. And id also like to alert Terminator X that Man Utd are bidding £30mil to buy Benzema and the Lyon president says if the offer is high enough they will accept...Waste of his talent to go to Man U but we just dont need another target man striker
  3. I also heard that it was because the chairman (the new guy) knows he has to sell David Villa, which has upset the fans already, but they accept he has to go, but he doesnt want to sell to Real Madrid because Valencia fans hate Madrid and this would piss them off even more selling their star player to a rival team, so the chairman has accepted the only other offer on the table, the Chelsea offer. May we finally actually be signing someone who we've been after against Real =0? Also looks like we may end up getting Tevez/Pato/Aguero too. Villa and one of those three players would be epic. Tevez has ruled out Liverpool and Utd, so its just Man City or Chelsea, and Chelsea must be in talks with Aguero at an advanced stage if we know his personal wage demands, which are rediculously high. Good times ahead!
  4. Didnt we really fuck him off during the Chelsea V Roma Chamions League match (sorry had to mention it), i cant remember what happened but i remember not only being annoyed at the defeat but at Mexes. Would be a decent signing though, not a particularly young new signing but we need a mix of age and experience. Although i would like to see Mancienne finally given a chance, we suck at bringing youth players up, because we have one very wealthy inpatient Russian who cant wait for success to grow or plan for the future.
  5. Good choices although we wont loose Mikel in January because he fell out with the Nigerian FA for claiming he didnt have the right pass to play in the game in that country, and then being spotted at the game watching the Nigeria team, to which the fans threw bottles of urine at him...No joke, check it out its on t'internet. And today we have announced the re-loaning of defender Rajkovic to FC Twente for another year. Besides that i like the look of your squad...If we had Gattuso in the team as well as Mikel then Lampard can go back to being a proper out and out AM.
  6. Cech, Manuel Neuer (Schalke's young keeper, we have been rumoured to be after him) Bosingwa, Alex, Terry, Ashely Cole, Ivanovic, Mancienne, Lampard, Essien, Ballack, Mikel, Joe Cole, (possibly A. Young, might not need him with Zhirkov) Drogba, Anelka, Aguero, Zhirkov, Kalou And then some of our youth academy players to be given a chance, like Stoch, Di Santo, etc
  7. I agree with the second part of your post (it seems almost weird for people to get along on these forums and agree in light of recent posts lolll), and i agree that Malouda has come of form, but i just find it hard to trust him and his ability having seen his previous bad runs, there's always going to be a bit of doubt in my mind about him. But we do have a great squad and a few younger additions would be great to bolster our title hopes, and also younger players are less likely to fatigue or get injured as easily, but then again they cant all be as great or consistent as the might Frank Lampard *bows down*.
  8. Could ditch Malouda 0=). Its always gonna be difficult, but Drogba gets injured every season, Joe Cole probably wont be back for a while, or he too will probably get injured again (which i hope doesnt happen of course, we are so much better with Joe Cole in the team), Drogba will be absent for a while for the African Cup of Nations as mentioned before (maybe in a different topic), so really it would only be Malouda, Tevez and Anelka as a start of the season line up, with prossibly Drogba for a while, so only one of them will have to fight for a starting spot, so it could work really. Im not a fan of Malouda, so maybe loaning Kalou out and selling Malouda, whilst buying Tevez or Aguero would be a dream situation in my opinion (which may be wrong).
  9. The matterz talks sense! Could sell Kalou, although for some reason i can see him being one of those players we sell and then we regret it as he turns awesome for his new club. Pizzaro is staying at Werder Bremen from what ive read, and Sheva's wife told him to pack his bags for a free tansfer to Monaco. I think either Tevez OR Aguero could really fill in for a couple of positions well enough. I also agree with you about the winger situation, we lack that kind of player who will take on and beat the oppositions full backs or centre backs, i think we lost that player when Robben left, and possible an in form Duff. Now i sound like a right matterz brown nose ...
  10. Absolutley!!! I dont know who wouldent, apart from Terminator X who would prefer Benzema (who is pretty ownage to be fair Mr Terminator sir), they would work well together, and i imagine having one of them would be a sealing pull factor for the other. I doubt we would sign both as they are similar players and as you said, we would have to let someone go, and besides Shevchenko to Monaco i dont think we will want to loose any other strikers. I do think we need another Striker or two though, especially if all of the African players are going to be absent for the African Cup of Nations or whatever it is this year.
  11. I guess we can pretty much close and forget this one! we need to focus on just one player who IS allowed to leave their club....Not really too dependant on wether they want to play for Chelsea or not, because 1. most players would anyway. 2. pretty much every player which has come to Stamford Bridge has stuck around because they love it!
  12. I second that. If we are gonna have to pay so much for Villa and Ribery, we might aswell spend our money on a younger player with more potential for the future of Chelsea. I think the same with Tevez aswell, Aguero and Tevez both Argentinians...Both kinda the same price roughly, both want insane wages...Might aswell go for the younger one (not that im a paedo or anything, im 19 so it wouldent really work anyway)
  13. Benzema has confirmed that he will not be leaving Lyon THIS SEASON. Because he wants to give it one more go with them at being successful. So maybe we COULD get him next season. No question that he is a great player but i do feel we need to mage Aguero our priority. Hes a great player who can get the ball on the ground and take on players for us, the kind of player weve been lacking prior to Malouda's good form, and when people like Duff and Robben left Chelsea. I just hope we focus on getting him now before Man utd spoil it, or Real are linked with him, And i think we should just meet his rediculous wage demands, because in my opinion, and remember, no arguments here, this is my opinion, he will pay us back instantly with success. I believe he can adapt and if any manager can get the best out of players i feel confident it would be Ancelotti.
  14. Some good friendlies there. Do you think the Reading friendly has anything to do with Brendan Rodgers taking over as manager??? On that issue, i think BECAUSE he was linked to Chelsea and hates Hunt for what he did, i saw on sky sports news Hunt is leaving Reading for somewhere else, do you think B.R has said i dont want you at the club, funk off? Ac and Inter, I can see Inter being the most difficult match.
  15. Apparently they have had talks in the past 24 hours and the only remaining issue is uprooting his family to London. The talks were held in English because Maldini is supposed to be a fluent speaker of the language. I didnt know he could speak English...Its seems to make even more sense now because He can help translate any of Ancelotti's ideas that he cant get across with his broken English, and he's just a general LEGEND!
  16. Loll its fine, i just dont wana be a n00b .
  17. AMEN! We just dont need him. Only player id like to see from AC milan in a Chelsea shirt is clarence se...loll oj...PATO! p.s. why does it have to take to many posts to raise your raiting to reserve team/trainee, i dont wana be a new member anymore
  18. Did you hear today that the Bayern manager or president whatever, wants Bosingwa, and will also "loosen his grip" (gayyy) on he Franck Ribery situation if clubs "want to do crazy things". AKA if we pay way too much money for him like Real are doing then he will let us have Ribery, even if he DOESNT like the weather!
  19. Its weird to see how these things come around. These players want to play for their boyhood hero's, teams who won things when they were younger, and because Chelsea havent won a Eurpoean cup or anything major like that in the past none of these foriegn superstars watched Chelsea and thought, id love to play there. So now we need to win major honours for good players in the future, its a dodgey circle of football.... orrrr, if not, i could just stfu?
  20. Perhaps we should add an "other" option to this poll...May seem a little too late i know but still, if anyone else has other suggestions. Write back
  21. No i hadn't sorry! I have now! Pato seems to be very popular. I would have added Benzema to the list but we havent been officially linked with him so far...Hopefully we may be! Keep your opinions coming in!
  22. I have to say the duck isnt exactly a most classic nickname for a person isit. For example in cricket (what a crap sport btw) it means ZERO....Is that REALLY what you want to be nicknamed as!?!?!?
  23. Id go for Aguero first choice, as his impact in any game (especially ones against Barcalona) are huge. But having seen Ashley Young playing for England tonight my respect for him as a player has gone up...He linked up nicely with Cashley Cole at times too!
