Thing about a false 9, they have to be a willing worker like Mertens I think thats why its never worked under Hazard. Look at the successful False 9s (Firmino, Mertens, Sanchez) All of them are hard works with less talent and I am not sure he would work.

Plus a tactical understanding. He needs to study CM greats like Gerrard, Kaka, Lamps and Hamsik. He needs to know were to position himself, release a pass etc. Most of them come with game time but I can really see him becoming a EPL great if he puts in the work. (Kinda like Giannis from the NBA did)

I agree with all this, I will even add I hope his backed well in the summer so that he has no excuses come next season. Get him a quality LB, CF, CB and RW and maybe another CM then we can talk. Jorginho will only get better after a year in the EPL.

City are really a well run club man, they are about to sign David Silva's replacement and the season is not even done yet. Can Roman at the very least employ some capable football people to run us like Man City (scouting and recruitment wise)

As long as he is fast enough to recover and beat other full backs I am okay, I am okay with Trent or Robertson kind of pace. We just lack a bit of pace in our team at the moment and I feel thats why we concede so many counter attacking opportunities.

If Hazard does a Griezman and stays I think we might be fine if the ban is reduced to 1 window. Pulisic and CHO will hopefully be upgrades on Willian and Pedro and hopefully Reece is the real deal so that we add some pace in the full back slots and Zouma to replace Cahill, we might not win the league but we should be good to at least finish top 4 easily.

Sarri' s work with him will go unappreciated but his really improved as a player, I'm hoping he puts in the work over the summer and comes back an even better player mentally and physically. Without being biased he could legit become a top 5 European mid if he continues on the trajectory his had this season. You can't buy his, size , power, technic, pace and elegance. It's usually one or 2 not all qualities in 1 player. See physical specimens like Bakayoko and Morata for example

There is one constant in all 3 cases you raised, The players. We genuinely have at most 3 WC players in the squad and our recruitment has been sub par for a while. Sarri deserves a chance to be backed for next season both in terms of player personal and control. He has his flaws but his done a decent job with what he had to work with, let's hope he can finish off the season strong with 3 straight wins

Yeah it's a catch 22 situation, on one hand I would rather he starts and we finish the job early by scoring quickly like against Prague kill off the tie altogether without any squeaky bum time. On the other hand you are right we risk losing him for a while when his arguably been our best player this past month

I think you are being harsh, Kepa has had a very solid first season, 23 clean sheets in 52 games. He has made a few errors but his also won us a lot of games today being a prime example, who knows what happens if Deeny scores from that header. Like I said in an earlier post he has a few things to work on like his positioning at times and claiming crosses which he hopefully will have worked on for next season. Just ask Arsenal, Man Utd, Man City how hard it is to replace a world class goalie. If we are being honest his been slightly better than Thibo last season since he can actually pass from the back. Give him a solid defence in front of him I think he can become one of the top keepers in the world
