Yes, so why you bemoans that fans do the same and figure out how to improve?
-
Always think on how to improve.
-
He'll only eats out Chalobah minutes. Same age, same position, same build. Would be incredibly stupid buy.
-
Somehow 1:0 up. But we can't let this continue! Changes are needed. We play formation which relies heavily on 3 players up top. 2 are world -class and one is massive fraud. Hazard is in the mood today but he can only play football with Diego Costa. Urgh. Four players in our team are carried by rest of our 11, it's clear as day.
-
Willian is fucking useless. We play with 10.
-
He's offensive version of Kante with added advancement of good touch, good feet, shooting and passing. I'd spend Oscar money on him if that's what it takes. Fabregas would never go beyond strolling mode having Naby Keita and Kante next to him. Wouldn't need to.

He is ill.

1st of January to 26th of February.

I like how forum is all more active because of this news. People have so many ideas how to spend that money already. Oscar's best moment since Juventus goal.

Veratti is the player worth adjusting the system to. Look, Conte actually adjusted tactic to the players he has now, if he had 11 better players individually than what he has now he may play completely different. He'll review his options again in the summer with new players and change accordingly. What is obvious squad is better with Veratti. I also think next season will be different beast. With fixture congestion we cannot make up everything with preparation and freshness in players. The individual quality in our players will be more important to beat fatigue and tired legs. Veratti is sensible move. Young, great, potentially special, knows the manager.

I agree with the last part, all I want is to tell people that of all positions we think we need an upgrade, CB is least of our problems. A proper upgrade will cost a fortune and we should spend elsewhere first. Also Cahill is good player. Squad player but good in the right system. He is homegrown and costs very little on the books due to low fee and stay time. He also saved our run just last Sunday. Put some respect on your captain's name!

No way we're losing 3 experienced defenders in one go. What's that? I can think maybe we can get rid of JT and Ivanovic but only because their contracts expire. And what's with Alonso? Suddenly he doesn't play anywhere at all? Even if we sign better LWB then he will be valuable player for both wingback and centreback. No way guy who costed so much suddenly takes Ferreira role. So we're with minimum 6 CBs. That's enough.
-
I really don't know if we need any centre-backs. Sure, Van Dijk or Koulibaly would be nice, but we have Cahill, David Luiz, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Christensen, Alonso (he can easily play in 3 men system) and possibly Ivanovic (who I warm to idea of sub option) ? That's a lot. And not only in numbers but in quality, IMO it's good enough squad. Unless we're selling Christensen, releasing Ivanovic, loaning out Zouma. Sure, if something remain after we sign Veratti and top class RW we can spend it here.

No, I think he still has reputation, Brazil international. --- ^^ My post which I didn't manage to send. HA ! I was right, f*cking Brazil international, looks nice and skillful. Thanks to that we may have a rip off here. AVB Chelsea legend, I knew it before. I hope if that materialize we won't waste on average (again). Buy one top quality, not 2-3 decent players. Griezmann, Veratti etc.
-
I fear 2 rest days more than Sunderland to be honest. Nice lead before 60-70th minute is needed. We most probably drop significantly in intensity after that.
-
Yeah but how freaking amazing when such team is backtracking after they concede and try to play as quickly as possible after they wasted time whole match. It's wonderful feeling getting the revenge in the same game. By far the best moment in the game when Thibaut delayed goal kick when we were 1 nil up and they were losing their shit. Love it.

While you're back, can you give insight how Djilobodji is doing for you? Can he possibly do cover agent job for Chelsea on Wednesday ?
-
I wrote it after the first half and he was the best player on the pitch by that time. He was quiet in the second half. Tbh it's hopeless regardless how he plays. He is surrounded by donkeys. He starts so many moves that are wasted by complete lack of vision from his teammates. Same thing that was at Rennes. Is decent ball back when he runs at speed so much to ask? Apparently yes. He was in the mood on Friday yet he didn't even get one single goalscoring chance. Ffs. Put him in technical team even of high standards and he won't look out of place. At least he is improving tactically and defensively. His skills are already on highest standard so it's good it looks like he's getting better in other aspects. But can't feel other than another wasted year. Fighting for relegation in shit team yet someone like Coman is playing for Bayern. Musonda wasted, Boga wasted, Colkett playing in League One. Put them together in one team so at least they're surrounded with quality.
-
But don't you think many players have pace, power and stamina? If that was the most important then Americans would be the best at football, they produce athletes first. I really don't know why Moses is working so well in that position. Conte needs to try to pass some of this on our next LWB whatever he used on Moses is working but as I said I can't believe in rule here that more power less thinking is a requirement. Nonetheless, Conte sees Kenedy in every training for 2months before he is able to hand him game from January and I trust that Antonio will have great assessment by that time.
-
You think we're overachieving? What I know is that Man City is extremely underperforming and all depends on them really. Their squad is stupidly good but the rest of the pack is pretty even. We're playing to our normal level staying in the race with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham, Arsenal and currently getting upper hand on them but getting above Man City may be punching above our weight. We have two reliable sources of goals and have solid structure and I read on this forum sometime ago that's a recipe for success. It is.
-
I'm really, really tempted to say "you can't teach intelligence" but then Moses is one of those least intelligent players (in football terms, I don't know about real life) and he looks brilliant in that role. But I can't take it for granted, I simply cannot believe that less intelligence more power and pace is a rule for wingback position !
-
On one hand I feel he could be brilliant at that LWB, constantly arriving from deep and causing chaos with his direct runs on the other similarly I can see him as a walking liability without much tactical acumen, ill discipline and lacking intelligence in possession. Gimme one real game to give a verdict here.
-
One thing I can't understand - how the hell he was signed for 4 years contract and not 5? What were Arsenal thinking? Now literally everything is in Alexis advantage, he can hold up talks for few more months and big pressure starts to kick in soon. He shouldn't sign any contract yet.
-
On fire again today.

Yeah, I wanted Alex Sandro to replace Ash in 2014 but we signed brilliant Filipe Luis instead. Not bad at all. And in 2015 when we were looking again at LB I remember we were linked with Alex Sandro. I thought his price will be too high especially for a bench warmer but it turned out he costed just a tad more than Baba. We missed a trick but in reality we deserve everything we get after scandalously underutilising Filipe Luis.
