pleased to be voted the wisest but I think those who voted for me perhaps confused wisdom with age . as the saying goes "there's no fool like an old fool" or perhaps I'm the wisest fool in Christendom. I was slightly miffed to share the funniest award with Blue Lion . I can only assume that those who voted for me ,did so because of my humour ,while those who voted for BL voted for his appearance ... I would like to single out TX for especial congratulations ,,,he has certainly stepped up in class. Finally thanks to Blue Lion ..for organising this and also the tremendous amount he brings to the forum. A look at all the awards demonstrates the esteem he is held in .

Sadly this season too few of our players played consistently at the level they are capable of and that we have come to expect. The exceptions in my opinion are Cech certainly as good as VDS who has picked up the plaudits JT again demonstrated why he is already a Chelsea legend .Magnificent leadership . Ivo ...an excellent season both at RB ,,CB and with valuable contributions in attack sadly the midfield were well below standard...true injuries to Lamps , Essien andYossi didn't help the cause in this vital part of the field the only real positives were the arrival of Ramires which promises well for the future and of course some excellent cameos from Josh. in attack again disappointment generally ,,,as others have said all had their moments. I feel however that the poor season for our attackers was largely due to the poor service provided by our faltering midfield . however the much maligned Kalou does deserve more praise than he gets .. my player of the year ,,,the peerless Petra Cech

if Zola has any sense he will stay well clear.

I'm beginning to think that the task of managing our club and satisfying Roman is impossible. If the first criteria is winning the CL then that task is difficult enough .. How many think this is likely next year or even the year after. I am less optimistic about that now than I have been for the last 5 years. I have critisised pessimists before ,,I think on the CL front I am being realistic .I believe we can win the PL next season ..either that or a domestic cup ..This would satisfy me but I doubt it would satisfy our owner ,,,and the merry go round will go round and round.

our transfer deals always seem to drag on forever now ....ends up with lack of pre season time with them ..
