Bumped this thread as it seems we are the Feeder club for Hamburg now . A second point .. surely it is reasonable to expect ONE player a year to step up from the Academy ... Well how many have in the last FIVE years.

to that list add Sinclair ,,Cork ..possibly Bertrand , Kakuta and Sturridge.

In terms of a playmaker we haven't replaced Zola . I long for the day we will get one worthy of taking Zolas number.

Mark was a good signing for us . I have no complaints about his play for us . BUT a Chelsea Legend ,,,not in my book unless we are giving Legendary status away.

Hughes walked out on Wales ,walked out on Blackburn , now has walked out on Fulham. If Ferguson suddenly resigned or took seriously ill (a possibility considering his age and lifestyle) then Mark would be off in a flash to United. Harry has a similar record of walking out on clubs and if England came calling he would run as well .. As I said between them it would be Hobson's Choice. I would take Harry as I believe he would play more attractive football.
