  1. Image is important in all walks of life, whether it's politics or the office, what you choose to wear reflects on how you feel about a situation. Especially if you were once obsessed with fashion 'like Mourinho was', he has his worst seasons in his career when he can't be bothered to grow his hair or dress 'formally'. Those are facts and can be proven by the results on the pitch.
  2. He's dramatically changed his stance on fashion, makes us look a little unprofessional, especially in the big champions league games, oh well..
  3. If you're gonna play a 'has-been' in central mid, Lampard is the obvious choice over Gerrard. 'If' you've got to.. that is. Hodgson ffs..
  4. It's all part of the game for Mourinho, what he says in the press etc, people need to lay off the personal attacks..
  5. Let's not get into another debate about Luke Shaw, because we've been through that over and over. I just find it funny how Chelsea fans have become Arsenal fans and Arsenal fans have become Chelsea fans. This is an anti-English club now, no urgence from a fan perspective to replace the english core we've lost. It's so important for the culture, for the top clubs in the country to have representation.
  6. Ok, can we stop saying 28 all together now please, or using the hyphen '28-29'. When he plays for Chelsea FC he will be 29 years old, we are discussing a 29 year old. Simple as that.
  7. Remember that one Torres fan.. can't remember her name, from the US, had her daughter in the avatar?. If she of all people gave up on him, that speaks volumes, there is literally no defense or counter-argument anymore.
  8. Tbf nobody we sign or have signed (outside youth level) have been total unknowns, that's rarely the case for top clubs. De Visser was following him before that, this is the guy who predicted the Belgium surplus and was scouting Oscar at age 15, let's give him a little credit.
  9. Well, let's face it.. She was only interested in him because she wanted to become a 'wag'.....
  10. It's De Visser we have to thank for this 'nice' problem, keep seeing people mistakenly giving Emenalo credit.
  11. Yea, no personality, the forum will lose appeal because it looks like you can't customise it. Context would be lost without visuals, what would that Fabregas photoshop incident look like to guests?. They will go to cfcnet, and sign up there because they can actually see what the fuck is going on. Forums have to be like shop windows to potential new members.
  12. ^ Avatars (at least) should always be visible, otherwise the forum looks dull like cfcnet. The appeal of Talk Chelsea has always been it's aesthetics, in comparison to rival Chelsea forums. Also, I imagine there are guests that keep an eye on the board for news, what appeal does TC have when they can't even see the Fabregas pics, 'for example'. Because images themselves are sometimes news.
  13. I could do that, (don't recall seeing it as an option when starting this new season though). So next season we could start with those 12 active teams in one league and boost the new guys. We should add a poll to this thread with that as an option for sure. I'm open to anything right now because I lost interest in this game a while ago, so why not.. nothing to lose. Having more than one division, does isolate new members from the 'banter' and social aspect, plus the points MetsajCFC made about longer seasons. One concern however, would be that the new managers in a 2nd season would have nothing to play for, with there being no relegation fight. And unless someone is going to become a V.I.P member, we won't have a Cup to pacify those guys either.
  14. All great points. However, someone is always going to have a head start to some extent, or buy better players, use resources more intelligently etc. UpTheChels was in this league from the start and he remained competitive with me, I just happened to win the titles (we had teams of similar quality). Super Villains were not too far behind, when we started. I've just logged in, we have 12 active managers (the earliest log-in being today and the latest being '06-06-2014'). So what are we saying?, start a fresh league with those 12 managers? It would be a hassle to say the least, getting everyone to switch and start from scratch. I'm open to the idea though, we'd need a poll.
  15. On the PR side of things.. Mourinho pissed off so many people last season he's had to go cure aids in africa to regain stock. Liverpool are the media darlings, so take the Suarez 'indicents' (in comparison to a future Costa problem) and times them by a million because we're Chelsea.
  16. Good. We'll already have enough burned out players for pre-season as it is. The pivot will be fresh at least.
  17. One of the reasons Luke Shaw is worth every penny of that £30m, 'every penny', just a shame about the 'reported' wages. Bertrand & Moses clearly don't have a future here, and Terry was highlighted just to show how bare this home-grown squad will be in a few years time. That's all.
  18. Pretty much zero percent chance of Moses being here next season, Bertrand & PVA have no future. HG1 - Gary Cahill HG 2 - Cesc Fabregas HG 3 - John Terry (33 years old!!!) HG 4 - Romelu Lukaku (won't be a surprise if he leaves) HG 5 - HG 6 - HG 7 - HG 8 -
  19. MOTM thus far, he's been everywhere.. how can he have preserved that much energy after the season(s) he's had, this guy will burn-out early career-wise.
  20. City fans are the most bitter in world football, far worse than scousers. A lot of Chelsea fans have NO IDEA, especially the international ones.
  21. Yea, City fans are million times more bitter than liverpool fans (I've said this for a while now), look how they 'already' discredit us (pages 19-20).
  22. Why are you telling me this, like it's something I don't know or any Chelsea fan with even a morsel of grey matter would know? When Mourinho was sacked there were mass protests outside the bridge, nobody was burning anything. There was a 'Roman & Carlo Out!' banner outside Cobham, Benitez held up a Chelsea shirt with his name on upon arrival, that could have been a target.
