Yes but if it's something as simple as a miss-type, it's rather unnecessary to have a BOLD edit sign underneath the text. Especially when you consider nobody is sad enough to read it, so it gives the impression the edit could have been made numerous amount of times.

He won't be a chelsea player in a few years time. Once neymar comes in and the likes of kakuta, borini & sturridge all make names for themselves he's out. Not good enough for a top 4 team, nevermind the champions.

Effective is easy though, you just have to keep them fresh, clean and have an eye for images. People are just too tempted to add excessive effects.

The others are generic and boring, the lamaprd one is by no means perfect but at least he's attempted to create something different. I used to make graphics back in the day, yet from viewing your work it seems all you do is basic stuff anyone with photoshop could do (no offence).
