    Not really, it's a very poor deal actually, an extra £7m is nothing.. Gourlay fucked up. This was clearly a case of Samsung just not wanting to stay rather than us finding a better deal.

    He's 19 years old, the fee is fair based on his potential, it's worth the premium for English, this is Chelsea football club of England. When you sign a 29 year old for £15m.. he HAS to play, youngsters can bide their time on the bench and wait for a chance.

    It doesn't matter how many times people bring up the quality factor, we're an English club and should be going the extra mile to accommodate them. If I knew Ivanovic had naked pics of Jose I would have been even more adamant about signing Shaw, Luis is too old for the bench.

    Shhh, we have people in here who want City to equal our record. Good point though, because even if they don't take it seriously, they will STILL have to travel etc in the preliminary stages.

    Not at all, if you want City to progress it's just as bad as wanting them to win it. I've already stated twice now in this thread the reasons for that and why it's bad for Chelsea; either give a counter-argument to 'those posts' or leave it.

    That's the SAME thing as wanting them to win, the further they progress the more likely it is, simple.. simple logic mate. The further away they are, the better.

    If only they had got all 3 points.. Shame, if City went on to win the CL.. history forgets about our team spirit that 'never say die attitude' and sees rich owners buying trophies. Would hate to see City equal our record too, after Terry's slip, Barca 09.. we should be on 3.

    The fact City haven't won it is special for us, because it means you can't just buy players. Our side had team spirit.. that never say die attitude, 'character'; if City win it, it proves the opposite.

    Fuck off, you want them to equal us?, any rich guy can take over a club and equal what WE'VE Done. Chelsea went through so many injustices in europe to win just 1!.. and you want City to be level with that!?? I would accept winning nothing this season if it meant City not winning the CL.

    The picture is just fine with just Cole, the guy who rejected Liverpool and went to another part of the world, well away from Chelsea.

    Hence.. why I mentioned how much effort Adidas put into Marseille shirts, it's adidas who get the 'brief' on what the sponsor wants.

    They did with Marseille and adidas put a lot of effort into the design of their kits, always doing unique stuff for them..

    Notice how they also use a navy blue font on a white and light/baby blue shirt, so not only does it have an ugly red bird logo, the font colour also doesn't match.

    I think we can forgive him for that, it was the heat of the moment and it was out of character. He was NEVER going to be a big part of Mourinho's setup, so it was either sub role forever or move elsewhere.. can't blame him.

    Mourinho is actually the most likeable thing about 2014 Chelsea (now the English backbone has gone), it's what separates us from faceless/soulless Man-City.. he's a character and a media darling. Only single-minded fans of other clubs dislike him.. When you have charisma you can get away with anything.

    Samsung 'Mobile' was the original Chelsea sponsor on the shirt, which tells you all you need to know about their consumer intent when they first signed with us. Mostly mobile ads around the bridge too, even now.. so the reason they came here was to promote the phones, mainly. Apple is a cult and they don't need to advertise in the same manner Samsung do.
