  1. Never expected to be the league leader at this point.. I've favoured young players throughout the season, and in the big games (Super Villains, Fake Madrid, London Royals) I refused to give out win bonuses or play highly skilled players over youngsters. I signed a player for a record 9.8m and rarely play him, due to his compatibility not being excellent. That's how important teamwork values are on this game.
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NFLMTwkGXM&feature=player_embedded#! 2:50 onwards..
  3. Lmao at this... whatever next?.. This season has been a nightmare on so many levels. I'm still getting used to that fact Spurs are above us in the table.
  4. Drogba has deserved so much more from his career than this, both on a club & national level. Such a shame.
  5. Too little too late, his pre-match preparation should have been conclusive. No excuses, especially after the United game.. How could he have been so complacent?.. considering the amount of pressure on him right now.
  6. ^ Having a 'vision' is fruitless, if you don't have the tactical nous to support it. How thorough was AVB's preparation for the Everton game?, his post-match comments say otherwise.
  7. Indeed. Harry to England, Jose' to Spurs, stays there for 10-20 years = Nightmare world for Chelsea fans.
  8. This thread is littered with contradictions. Supporting AVB.. yet pointing out his 'many' tactical faults/naivety, backing stability for the sake of stability. If Jose’ is genuinely serious about 'finally' settling down for the long haul, Roman needs to swallow his pride and reinstate the special one. I dread to think what will happen If he ends up at United, City or Spurs, and stays there for 10-20 years.
  9. Based on stats, Courtois is the best keeper Atletico have had for 20 years.
  10. What a waste of time, money & resources this trip was.
  11. ^ That's not a coherent sentence btw. You are the most delusional, simple minded & narrow minded poster in the history of this forum.
  12. Torres having a meltdown there with the officials, fellaini having to restrain him.
  13. Christ, the race for 4th spot will go right down to the last game of the season.
  14. Indeed, although.. just to remind everyone, Cavani is an expert at 'dragging' players out of their comfort zones with his strength and unpredictability. The guy is a powerhouse. His movement off the ball is sublime, he won't be easy to track. We need a composed 'cool head' who will stay in position, it could be worth throwing Cahill in the deep end with JT for this one.
  15. Stamford Bridge (09/02/12) Term X: *proceeds* (Reluctantly greets Raul & Hilario) Hilario: "These two..?" (Once confirmed, Hilario & Raul add signatures) Term X: *tactfully nods in appreciation, 'If Juan Mata was the main course, Hilario was a cold side dish'* (Customary body language) Term X: "Great hair btw Raul.." *forces generic small talk* (A distant gaze, comparable to the 'eyeing up' of an unwanted Christmas present. Wondering whether it could be taken back, unfortunately scousers don’t 'do' receipts. A failed final hour bid for Luka Modric, a permanent reminder of what could have been.) *proceeds towards Mata* Term X: "Juan" *states recipients name, as a greeting* Mata: "Haha" (Laughs at the emphasis put on the 'j') Mata: *glides ink, to form a signature* Term X: (Prepares to articulate query) Term X: "Juan, during the 2-1 win over Manchester City at Stamford bridge. You whispered something into David Silva's ear, what did you say? *onlookers marvel at the ingenious question* Mata: "Ah.." *eyes light up* Mata: "...(Pauses)... Mind games." (Winks without winking) *anticipates response* Term X: In what sense?, What were you referring to specifically?" (Pressing for details after a somewhat vague answer) Mata: "It's a secret" (As if to say, a magician never reveals his secrets) Mata: "Haha (Spontaneous laughter, momentarily in deep thought) it's a secret…" *Mischievously exclaimed* Term X: ".....Fair enough." *respectfully accepts stance* (Realising that his initial response was fruitful enough for interpretation.)
  16. Defend deep and let Napoli have the ball, they don't like that. Romeu will be key for the away leg.
  17. Finding it hard to be anything other than sceptical about this 'mass exodus' we all hope for. There are too many cockroaches & players who slip through the net at this club. AVB has been playing down the idea of signing top quality players (i.e. Hazard), instead looking at ‘Romeu caliber’ type acquisitions, which understandably can be hit or miss. It's either all or nothing in regards to the summer window, otherwise it's ‘Transition Season Part II.
  18. Roman and his goons Anyone read 'The secret Diary of AVB'?, this picture looks like one of the scenes from that series brought to life..
  19. ^ Great news, this will be a middle finger up to all the bias media, let's hope Capello sticks to his guns here.
  20. Yea, thought about doing that, will have to phrase it in a more 'diplomatic' style though. I don't want to get off on the wrong foot by disrespecting AVB.
  21. I shall be bringing a few people with me too, in order to 'distract' members of staff, Oceans thirteen style. In an attempt to get an unconventional ‘in-depth’ interview, already carving out questions in which to pick his brain with.
