I think 2 things USA has is superior athletes/bigger talent pool and financial resources... I always thought if Africa had better financial resources, they would eventually become powerhouse of fubtol.

Don't think keeper is the least important...... Also, everytime turnball played last season I usually thought we would draw or lose..... Also the most important positions in the NFL are oline, than dline, than qb imo. You can win a superbowl, with bad qbs ( aka flacco, dilfer, big ben), but it is highly unlikely without a good line.... Funny thing is, I know a ton of Atletico Fans that say the same thing about TC. Kind of agree, however, Luck was selected over Manning cause they were afraid of Manning's injury would be career ending and did not want to risk it financially as well. Also in the NFL, their is a salary cap vs in BPL where their is no such thing... had Manning never gotten his spinal injury, Luck would of never been selected and Manning would of still been a Colt. With Tc and Cech, Cech has been injury free for a while and he is still considered "young" or at least not towards the end for a goalkeeper... I think the goalkeeper decision will be the most difficult for the board and Mourinho moving forward. However, I think we can keep both of them for a season together, but after that, one will probably be gone.....

As much as a lot of folks outside of United States think futbol is irrelevant in the states with the amount of resources/financial opportunities, plethora of athletes and potentially improved youth involvement, I think USA has a good chance of winning a world cup before England does moving forward. Good question. I say like a team of 18 a year.... In recent years, the only players that should be in the world class status consistently are Messi, Cristiano, Iniesta, Lahm, Ribery, Falcao, Zlatan (maybe Cavani, RVP, Aguero, Muller) Kompany, Chilleni, Thiago Silva, Vidal (maybe Bastian), Ozil and Neuer.... The only one young player I would consider "world class" was and is Alaba ( I guess at a time Gotze could be considered). Everyone else has ways to go to surpass the players ahead of them...

i wonder if mourinho goign to put schurrle as a cf this season again.
