Cristiano isnt a traditional winger... Anyone can tell you (esp. heat maps can tell you)... He's pretty much a second striker for Madrid... No winger would have that many opportunities to score all those tap ins and headers... ..No traditional winger can shoot 7-8 times a game and rarely cross the ball... You should know this better than anyone, having someone like Figo coming from your nation, that took being a winger to another level.. Goal wise, i think he can... Assist wise will be difficult. He nor Hazard excel at set pieces... also, your beginning statement described what any Cam would need to succeed. I dont think we built a team for Mata, however, we put him in prime position to get his stats, etc.... I guess its two different things, but I think people were saying that he was put in position to excel stat wise... (or i might have misinterpreted).

Personally, I think they need to find a replacement for Carrick and someone to play alongside him. I dont know how Phil Jones as CM will work out, but he did do well vs arsenal.

United doesnt need Mata, they need a CM or a winger.... They needed Cesc/Thiago or Cristiano/Bale.

Stats are good sometimes...... However, Mata the last 2 seasons never had to put a defensive shift like Oscar did the past 2 seasons and hazard is doing this season.... In addition, the tactics were quite different for Oscar playin as the 10, than last season when Mata was....... Goal wise, I think either hazard or oscar can replicate Mata stats, but assists wise, it might be difficult cause both of them arent good in set pieces (or not yet).. I think what your forgetting though is that Mata isnt behind only Oscar. Its both Willian and Hazard hes behind... Also, the comparison you use before with Rambo vs Vidal/toure really isnt the same thing... If anything, its more Vidal vs Pirlo (current age).. edit.... Truth be told is, that you can use the same situation Mata is in with Spain.. How many assists +goals does Mata have vs Silva/Santi? Yet, the latter 2 are always getting on the team before Mata...

eh, I dont blame Moyes to the full extent.... Last season, the big teams were all on bad form, which is why I always thought last season United was the worse Champs in a while.... In addition, RVP saved this behinds so many times last season... The transfer market was kind of peculiar.. Why would Thiago/Cesc go play under Moyes? I dont know if it was his idea or the board, but the transfer market completely backfired on them...Also, the whole Fellani transfer was rather unneccessary. However, I think it helped Everton in the long run (retaining a proper DM).. Expect United to have what Liverpool has occurred these past few seasons...

Year 1: Rambo should of been POTY... Year 2: I think it was unanimous for Mata (hazard did have good spells though) The players your using as comparison arent really good examples.....
