  1. Just as I said, against smaller teams, mikel is not needed for protection. So that we can blow them away. But against top/physical sides, mikel would be needed for cover.
  2. Fuuuuuuckkkkk goooooaaaal... Torres!!!!!!
  3. The real question is are we willing to buy an average striker(demba ba, papis cisse) and a central midfielder only to find out that the striker can't finish the chances?? Are we underatting how important someone with good finishing brings to the team?? The CWC spoiled chances anyone?? Some statements 1. "Falcao only thrives on opportunities created for him." The fact is every striker needs the chances to be created for him, the difference is falcao is the best finisher. 2. "He doesn't do anything outside the box" please falcao is not messi, no player dribbles 5 pple to score but messi. Not cavani, not lewandoski. Falcao just does the basic things, "receive pass, pass the ball to the AM, make a run, receive the return pass and score". Perfect example is the goal against barcelona. 3. Falcao is scoring 40 goals with average midfielders and some people here are underating that feat?? Mata and hazard are 10times more intelligent than athletico and porto playmakers and yet falcao scores 40goals in 45games. When sturridge made runs, mata found him easily but he missed. Falcao is the master of making runs, and he will score the chances. Infact from most of the posts I'm seeing people are even underatting the runs falcao makes, its funny how people were saying torres doesn't make runs sometime ago. 4. Manure have been shit defensively but are still winning games, are looking better than mancity JUST BECAUSE THEY GOT A GOALSCORER (VANPERSIE) this season. Who has scored against chelsea, arsenal and mancity (BIG GAMES). We have lost drogba our big game saver and we have a chance to get another and some people are underatting the importance of big games here?? :banghead: People are only worried because we can use some of the money for falcao to boost other areas of our squad, we all understand. But stop underatting falcao, its getting ridiculous he is among the top 10 best players in the world right now.
  4. 1. Best Big game player = falcao 2. Best Aerial advantage = cavani 3. Best Link up player = lewandoski 4. Best Finisher = falcao 5. Best goal ratio = falcao 6. Most versatile = cavani 7. Best strength = cavani and falcao 8. Best speed = lewandoski and falcao 9. Best poacher = falcao 10. Best long range shooter = cavani 11. Best passer = lewandoski 12. Best movement in the box = falcao 13. Best movement outside box = lewandoski Winner?
  5. What a pass from luiz... He just has the technique of a ball passing midfielder. Hazard added something more, torres gave away possesion about 15times in this match
  6. Ivanovic is a terrible passer and has a terrible ball control, david luiz should stay away from the defence, he's a better midfielder. Where is mata in this match??
  7. MATA HAS BEEN BULLIED SO FAR, TORRES LOOSING BALLS AS USUAL
  8. FINALLY MARIN GETS A START... THE WORLD MUST BE COMING TO AN END
  9. Great analysis of our situation. Mikel and ramires were bosses last season bcos of counter attack football, but this season the team is disjointed in the style we want to play.
  10. Sheva before chelsea= european, quick, skillful, finisher, team player Torres before chelsea = quick, skillful, top finisher. Falcao = SOUTH AMERICAN, PHYSiCAL, BIG GAME PLAYER(barca, chelsea, finals like drogba), ONLY MESSI IS A BETTER FINISHER, SPEED, POWER, FREEKICK, 40 GOALS PER SEASON, AGGRESSIVE I think there is a significant difference in the kind of striker falcao is compared to our formal flops. Chill guys...
  11. Tell those players to man up and stop giving up in 50-50 balls
  12. I didn't want to admit this but, Benitez seems to be getting the best out of hazard and torres, experimenting options like oscar and luiz in the midfield(how I so wanted to see that since last season) and maybe with more time, we can benefit properly from this.
  13. Torres actually took the shot even when players were in front of him, gave a good pass to mata for the third. Benitez must have given torres some confidence boosting drugs
  14. Inspired peformance from luiz today, strong on the ball and VISION to pass foward. Almost a man of the match peformance.
  15. Hazard MOTM, Luiz very close second. Mata played well too Comfortable peformance
  16. I'm loving mikel's foward passes today, even his pressing is better.
  17. Oh my goodness, mikel actually attempted a through pass to cole
  18. Torres scores looool. I can't believe torres shot wen he wasn't sure Benitez must have given torres confidence boosting drugs!!
  19. Goooooaaaallll..... Mata again... Lovely back heel from oscar!!!
  20. See that through ball to hazard from luiz, he is having a magnificent game so far
  21. Match wishes Start lampard, rest hazard so that he regains some form, sub off mata early and give marin some serious game time. And win 4-0
  22. Few information on Monterrey: 1) They've won the CONCACAF Champions League twice in a row, which suggests that they know how to perform in cup competitions when they need to. The competition is relatively weak compared to the UEFA Champions League or even the Copa Libertadores, but it does contain Mexico's strongest teams. 2) They've had some recent success in the league over the last few years, but they've been less consistent. 3) Their recent league form has been unimpressive, with a lot of draws and losses - they were also booted out of the Apertura final phase around a month ago. 4) Their strikers and more attacking players - Suazo, Delgado, Angel Reyna and De Nigris - are their most dangerous players. Suazo has a good burst of pace and is a good finisher, but his form has declined a bit and he's physically weak. Delgado is a good crosser and passer and is also quick, but he's physically weak, injury prone and an inconsistent finisher despite his two goals versus Ulsan. Reyna is a better finisher and is a real handful to deal with due to his acceleration and trickery, but his passes and crosses leave more to be desired and he is physically weak. De Nigris is a decent all-round striker: he's not that quick and his finishing could be better but he's good at holding up the ball. 5) Also of note is Walter Ayovi, the Ecuadorian captain. He can slot in centre midfield and anywhere on the left side of the pitch, plus he has a thunderbolt of a shot. He is aging, though. 6) Their defence is weaker than their offense, so attack is probably the best form of policy. I can see any of Hazard, Mata, Oscar and Moses cutting them open time and time again. We just need to finish, that's all. Hopefully Torres will score.
