What does silva have over mata, work rate and strength. Their vision and every other thing is about equal and silva starts more for spain. If mata can close the gap, he will play more that's what I mean. The directness of mata is the fact that he just stays up front and waits for the ball almost like a second striker, but if he comes back and works for the team he will play deeper than last season and be less direct because of that
-
When mourinho fixes his work rate, del bosque will have no reason to call pedro ahead of mata again and he'll adapt to any attacking position for spain. It was always all for his benefit that he got better at his workrate

Typical jayc there, typical

No one said schurrle is better than hazard. We all know hazard is pure class, but he hasn't produced so far this season and there are rumors of him carrying an injury. So it will be wise for him to rest and completely heal of the injury instead of rushing back when schurrle can fill up for him in the meantime.
-
I was so pissed off when he said that. Like who was he kidding comparing cleverly with ramires and cech with de gea. Crazy fanboyism to the max I would give anything for him to come back now and share his views on the clueless one
-
Cole has done fuck all attacking wise and has been skinned too much by average wingers (townsend, salah )

Fantastic analysis. I think statistical sites should adopt a way like this. Fantastic Oscar was far better in the second half as i thought. Luiz was a beast Schurrle was gold The only thing I don't understand is which instances do you say its workrate or team chemistry? Or even both of them? This your style of analysis covers the whole match in full detail which is Brilliant. :worship:

And people thought mourinho was stupid to make mata improve his defensive side. Mourinho is not naïve like pelegrini and would never allow a 3 vs 2 midfield, never. That's what puts him above benitez, pellegrini and many other good managers
-
He has flaws but, I'll take this ramires over any box to box midfielder in europe now
-
That's the key sentence. It felt like hazard was slowing down the tempo instead of speeding it up by attempting to dribble the fullback
-
Serious joke. He left out his best defender zabaleta and made his substitutions too late. I don't know whether he thought going all out attack will be enough to score goals but at the end they didn't create anything at all only 3 shots on target. We were far better attacking with only one striker
-
They are all naïve. Pellegrini was so naïve too to use 2 strikers against bayern, which means 2 people that don't defend against guardiola who dominates the middle, is a horrible and naïve decision.
-
I don't know why, he is just like aguero and he's very good at jumping in the air for crosses I wanted us to buy him 2 seasons ago but its too late now though
-
Chelsea were far better against bayern. Poor from city. You can't play two strikers against bayerns midfield, they'll murder you
-
Bayern munich vs Mancity Mancity's home form won't help them here because they won't hold the ball at all
-
Thank heavens that we don't have to depend on extra minutes in extra time to win matches.
-
He created most chances after mata last season compared to our whole team. And he can dribble, very skillful with good work-rate. His ball control is as good as hazard and he is stronger than all our AM's I just wish his fitness levels come back and we'll all see his true form
-
We'll be so creative with him, he doesn't even need to adapt much. Mourinho and klopp both play counter attacking so it'll be easy for him to fit.
-
Its strong, but no one can deny that arsenal are looking more dangerous than the past 8 years. So people will try to find a reason for that much change and they can only come up with ozil signing.
-
The thing is mikel and lampard are completely different players, so it could be a bigger change than we think. I'm not sure because last season mikel-ramires was the best, but we've played so well against a strong team and a smaller team so mourinho might be reluctant to change it and will try to get some proper chemistry between the players
-
I have this fear deep inside me. But his technique for passes is too good to just see gone. So I'll rather we loan him out in january to a top 10 team in the league, so that he can get proper game time for the worldcup. And I want a team where he's not the best player so that he can get used to a team that doesn't pass to him everytime as the only creative player of the team.
-
Yes ramires needs to improve his first touch especially, but I'll take him in his form now over any box to box in the world right now. The problem with lampard is that although we know that mikel-ramires is usually our best pivot, but right now we have played fantastic with the same group of players since tottenham 2nd half so it'll be hard for mourinho to change a winning formula
-
He got tired towards the end of the first half, so he started giving some strange passes and after resting at half time he got far better till the 70th minute when he was completely exhausted
-
I said it before that he has figured out most of his starting line up, people like mikel and cahill are in big trouble now
