None of lampard, ramires, essien are any of that type of player. How is he not seeing this. I thought he was going to mould mikel to that, but he's trying to mould lampard to that instead, its not his natural game. Its more natural for mikel imo

Honestly his passing range doesnt convince me that he'll improve our creativity from deep. He'll improve us defensively very well, but our attack would still be the same if he comes here. He doesnt get balls quickly across the pitch from deep and only makes short 5 yard passes.

Maybe teams that sit deep are his problem, or our teams lack of movement up front. But if he tries to force the issue by running at defenders even if he loses the ball a few times, some will work and it will lead to important goals. Do you remember the 4th goal against cardiff he scored, he dribbled into the box, where the defender couldnt make a careless tackle and he blasted it in. I think he should dribble into the box more, that will reduce the aggressiveness of the defenders in fear of giving away a penalty

He seems like a better form of yaya toure (or will get better soon) he plays beside cabaye for france and sits back and can burst into the box to provide a proper threat on goal(whether in the air or long distance shots) His passing range is also fantastic and he has ramires energy. If our scouts are not keeping an eye on him I don't know what they are paid for

He normally has a fantastic first touch and ball control (I'm sure people know I love this first about a footballer ) so he may have not done that intentionally, but the calmness to finish off that shot is a testament to his footballing ability.
