Its not really overrating him, its more like a relief that we are creating loads of chances once again. Ramires and Ba were better today, but mata was directly involved in most of our chances created. He's also our best set piece taker, so it means more goals on set pieces. Thats just what he does. We have been creating too few chances and it has been bugging me, it should be bugging you too.

off the top of my head: mata created the header for torres, the header for oscar, the goal for terry, the chance for the first goal, the first time through pass to hazard. This guy just creates chances, he just has to play. We havent been creating enough chances and the basel match where we didnt have a shot on target was the height for me. I never want to see any painful match like that again. Mata straight back into the starting 11 for me.
